Very, VERY easy to obtain, yes, and needed for so many activities, that anyone eligible to vote should already have one. I show my ID several times a week for the most mundane activities. Need cold medicine? Show ID. Need a beer? Show ID. Need a library book? Show ID.

In this day and age, if you can't figure out how to get an ID, you really have no business voting, IMO.
