No excuses anymore to live here for years and barely understand English. Don’t think the Germans we’re trying to change the US into Germany either. Hispanics too often just want a Latin continent up north too. English just isn’t the chosen language. The speak because they have to(sometimes) not because they want to. Exceptions exist but, we wouldn’t need to hit 1 for English if it weren’t true. It should be learn English or ****.

I don't believe for a second that that's likely to happen; but then we've never had to confront an 'invisible' enemy before (meaning that as they don't wear uniforms we won't know who the enemy is, thus rendering your army of superior strength impotent?). And nuclear might is only advantageous if the enemy doesn't have it; things would have been a lot different for the US had the Japanese been able to retaliate. You make a valid point with the MAD though - although now that your president in his wisdom(!!) has just re-started the arms race, we might actually find out that even MAD depends on the side which has the most nuclear clout, but a fat lot of good that'll do anyone, because there would be no winners? Dangerous times?

 

The next world war wouldn't be fought by 'strong militaries', it would be fought by deploying political nous, common sense, and intelligent stratagems, and seeing as western politicians don't have those qualities in abundance, my money's on the enemy.

Not seeing an article about GOP politicians calling for Jim Crow or Slavery again. There was an opinion piece about what the confederate flag represents and what they think the northern whites thinks it means, but nothing about a GOP politician.

 

I have not said that Republicans want to have back slavery ... but they are now the racist what the Democrats were once! A cool change of rules, isn't it?
