Director of National Intelligence, John Ratcliffe, & FBI Director Christopher Wray just held a televised, joint briefing to confirm that both IRAN & RUSSIA have gained access to U.S. voter records & that Iran has been using them to send intimidating emails to affect people's votes, as well as sowing false information on ballot security.

But I thought Trump was Putins puppet and they loved each other.

Once again, literally EVERYTHING the dems accuse Trump of, they are the ones doing it themselves. ****ing traitors to this country

    Huh?

    What are you talking about.

"Doing it themselves"? What are you referring to?

    That makes no sense.

The hearing didn't mention that those email threats, which have previously been reported, are being sent to registered Democrats, purporting to be from the, "Proud Boys." And the disinformation is meant to cause voters to not trust legitimate ballot-drop sites. Watch the link, above, of the briefing (set up by Shepherd Smith)-- it's very brief.

They're trying to frighten Democratic voters from voting for Biden; they're also trying, according to Ratcliffe, to sow chaos, incite social unrest, & undermine confidence in the integrity of our voting system. Now who are those goals, if achieved, going to benefit?

You believe they thought they would not be found out using a spoof email?

I don't know that we have any more of their frozen funds to release. The interesting thing, to me, is that there is a power struggle ongoing in Iran between hard-liners & (relative) moderates. The moderates want to join the world community, which means international agreements, including the one that had been designed to keep Iran from developing NULEAR WEAPONS.

The hard-liners WANT to develop these weapons.Trump saw to it that deal went caput. So, since having him as U.S. President makes it more likely that relations between our two nations will be on a HOSTILE footing, which strengthens their position against the moderates, IRANIAN HARD-LINERS see Trump as, in a way, an ALLY (& obviously preferable to the less hawkish, more Internationalist, Biden).

I don't know (& I don't know how you could, either). But what is your point, if they did? That any intimidation, confusion, and discrediting of our system in Democrats' minds prior to their being discovered as the source (& Russia got away w/ its 2016 hijinks for quite a while before it was fully accepted by the American public-- if you can say it even is, yet!) would be outweighed by all the Trump voters for whom this would be the thing that changes their mind about voting for him? Not because he didn't say, "boo!" to Russia about paying bounties for Afganis killing American soldiers, but because a foreign nation was able to attempt to interfere w/ our election but got caught?

If that had truly been their highly-dubious plan, I have one question for you. If they wanted to hurt Trump, why not DIRECT the emails at Republican voters? Wouldn't that make Trump look just as bad?

    Good question..

I just watched Adam Schiff talk about the presser, which I didn't see. I tend to believe Schiff when he says you can basically trust Wray most of the time and Ratcliffe none of the time...

It's possible Wray is retained as FBI director under AG Schiff in a Biden administration...

Not surprising, whilst the late Obama Administration was thinking of tagging Michael Flynn with the Logan Act, it was actually private citizen John Kerry who continued "negotiations" with the Iranians. The Iranians literally have trillions invested in a Biden victory.

The use of the proud boys, is a clear attack on President Trump(brought to you by none other than Chris Wallace and the first debate). Although it's laughable that you call Biden 'less hawkish' than the guy who literally drew our troops out of conflict, and would have done more if not for the pouting chicken hawks at the Pentagon(the same people Biden's worked with for 47 years.) the gist of your post otherwise is accurate, the Iranians need, desperately want Joe Biden to be President.

This is what happens when the GOP strike down democrats previous attempts at strengthening election security. Oh wait, this is exactly what they want because they know they cannot win the election fairly. Now if Trump loses, they can whine and scream to SCOTUS that the election results cannot be trusted because of foreign meddling.

Are you aware of the Joint Comprehensive agreement that the Trump Administration pulled out of? The Iranians want us back in. Trump's a no, Biden's a yes.

Why wouldn't the Iranians make a massive spend to get Biden? They know he will deliver billions in return. He's done it once already and his reputation of selling his office is legendary internationally. They love that he will sell out the U.S.A. to get another mansion.

I have an open mind, but I'd rather read links which establish that your assertions are factual.
