But would they be honest about it? I doubt that.

Iran is so lovely when a tourist is limited to areas approved by the government. Others, not so lucky.

Iran does have some very interesting ancient sites, but I'll stick to pictures to see them.

If you had watched the video I had posted, you would know that if you aren't an American tourist, you are free to go anywhere you like. That guy also had an Italian passport and wasn't restricted in where he could travel. But I know the truth is your biggest enemy so you prefer to lie all the time. Otherwise, anyone (and I encourage anyone here who is truly interested to do so) who wants to know the truth, just google: Travel to Iran. You will get millions of hits and will be able to see thousands of reports and hundreds of videos etc.

Or you can go to your favorite travel sites (Lonely Planet, Trip Adviser, etc) and check for yourself what they say about travel to Iran. Or you can lie. That is fine too.

You like to accuse people of lying a lot. It must be a type of projection.

I think the bodies dangling from light poles along the esplanades and byways if Iran would be a tad disconcerting for my enjoyment.

Iran Executed 110 In Six Months, Including Minors
    July 04, 2019

The Islamic Republic has executed at least 110 people between January 1 and June 30, 2019, in prisons or in public, Iran Human Rights Organization (IHRO) reports. The number shows a rise compared with the same period last year.

Iran has capital punishment used against those who commit capital offenses such as murder, rape with most of these cases involving drug offense. Aand so do many other countries, including the US. But contrary to that headline, minors aren't executed in Iran: that is contrary to Iranian laws. There are those who are executed for crimes they committed as minors, with their execution postponed to when they have reached age of maturity.

Anyway, another diversion and nothing to do with anything I had said. And it is obvious: you guys don't like Iran and aren't interested in anything truthful about it anyway. Who am I to stop you from whatever ails your malady. Enjoy spreading your hatred.

The above alone should see the UN calling for removal of Iran's current leadership. If it had any dignity that is.

Oh, on a related note, General Soleimanie's brother, Sohrab, who lived and worked with Soleimani in his youth,[96] is now a warden and former director general of the Tehran Prisons Organization. The U.S. imposed sanctions on Sohrab Soleimani in April 2017 "for his role in abuses in Iranian prisons".

    Nice family.

No they don’t and please don’t even waste my time arguing this point. There are very few countries that do and in the vast majority of complex situations like this they collaborate very closely and at high levels. Are you seriously trying to say that Iran maintains the levels of experts at the likes of RAE or NTSB etc etc??!!
FYI I’m not American the clue is in my screen name.

I don’t need to worry about diddly squat. Other than the total inability of your military to carry out its duties without killing innocent victims flying in a commercial aircraft in controlled airspace being blown out of the sky. The response from the Iranian authorities is simply staggering in the wake of this clusterfuck and simply highlights their lack of basic humanity and their woeful inability to manage the illiterate hicks in control of weapons they patently are not qualified to be within a hundred miles of.

You and your country witter on as if the victims of this disaster were merely flotsam in a whole sea of pathetic dogma and posturing. Shame on you all.

Must be why my Iranian friend met his family in Syria because of fears he would be held in Iran.

We don't generally shoot down incoming missiles. We just detect them to give our personnel time to get to shelters. If we had patriot batteries nearby then maybe we could. But from my experience when we hear the alarms blaring "incoming! incoming!" we just grab our body armor, weapon and helmet and head out to the bunkers. I don't know if the base had patriot missiles or not. And what do you expect the President to do about it? He doesn't have magical missile stopping powers. Would you have rather he declared war on Iran and crush you guys like a bug? He could have. Be grateful he showed some restraint.

You don't even have equipment to get in the black box much less read it. Wanna little bet that no-one will ever get to see that black box? The stupidity your country is showing during this F'up is even more proof of how ridiculous all your claims, that your leaders spout daily, are. Your country is an oppressive terrorist supporting country and you have guaranteed the international community turns its back on you, congrats.

It's amazing how colossally Iran F'ed this up. I mean, wow, that was a spectacular feat of failing.

They rattled their little wooden saber, and they somehow managed to kill 176 innocent civilians in the process.

Iran is so good at slaughtering innocents, they can rack up a huge body count without even trying.

It was a Ukrainian air liner, not a Iranian. Lufthansa canceled its flights and when the first hint came out, that a missile probably was the cause, it recalled a flight to Tehran, turned it around. Why did that airline allow the start, at night and just hours after Iran had launched its attack ?
That is stupid and careless and brainless.

Yup - if they weren't rattling their little wooden saber this would have never happened.

Whoever ordered those missile strikes deserves to get a missile rammed up their tailpipe...

I would agree.. but I'd have to add that TDS. Is VERY real. The D may not be accurate and a bit derogatory but the principle is true.

Trump does something to a lot of people not based on what he does but just because he's Trump.

    1. Iran launched a missile attack on an American base intended to kill Americans and damage the base.
    2. Iran clearly anticipated immediate retaliatory air strikes, and prepared for them.
    3. There is no way that the airliner could have been attacked by accident.
    4. If strikes had been launched the US could have been blamed for the downing of the airliner.

Conclusion: Iran ordered the attack on the airliner.

I rather enjoy reading her posts. She does seem to have a strong pro-Russia bias, but that just makes her copy more interesting. In this instance pointing out that Kolomoisky owned the airliner goes against that pro-Russian bias.

Neither side of the Ukraine debate, so far, has seemed eager to discuss the facts about Kolomoisky's role in the conflict.

but we didn't enter a deal in good faith and we could have continued to freeze the money in escrow. Instead....we released it so they could continue support of Hezzbolah and other terrorist organizations. Given Barrack Hussein's Muslim background.....I hold that suspect.

And I'd point out that when libs keep saying "it was their money" actually that's BS. It was the previous government's money. When the Islamic Nutjobs took over in 1979, that's a whole different government. It wasn't their money. It was the Pahlavi Monarch's money.
