    Iran's Secret Cyber Files

According to Sky News, a special unit, which is a part of the powerful Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps' cyber command, is busy making plans for cyber attacks on civilian infrastructure - including residential buildings - in several Western democracies, including the US.

If the allegations are true, the entire world is at risk of becoming entangled in a conflict driven by Iranian hegemonic ambitions, seeing how international trade and international companies are also targeted.

Judging by the list of known Iranian cyber attacks so far, there's a good chance that the secret files obtained by Sky News are genuine.

How should democratic countries react to Iran's attempts to weaponize these countries' own civilian infrastructure against them?

Most folks have received cyber extortion attacks on their computers. To stop the problem, just pay them.
Or how about the guys with India accents who call to tell you that the Feds are filing a criminal case against you, just send money.
Yet, even when they have the phone number, the system refuses to do anything about it.
Sheesh, USA can't even protect the stamp machines and post offfice boxes at the post offices, yet they spend billions bombing other countries.

Everyone is doing it and the US is not because they are collecting data from the attackers for future use.

    I hope.

Sure but in terms of nation states - such a Iran - ramping up their cyber departments -- who isn't doing this ? It is a bit of a world war of sorts .. a cyber war .. we can do this to them - they can do this to us .. still the wild west - so that the little folks can play .. but in the background .. big arms race going on. .. and Go figure .. Iran is playing the game too :)
