Are you saying you listen to Paul?
For I have seen you post about how one should listen to Jesus.
Can you clarify for us, do you listen to Paul/Saul, disciple of Satan, or Jesus.
You fly all over the place.

    - - - Updated - - -

Not sure if he's hypocritical. I think, doesn't really know what to believe or who to believe. Jesus or Saul/Paul. Or if he's just a playa on the internet and blows smoke. Option 3 seems the most likely.

Jesus said "I am the way and the truth and the life" and "You have one teacher, me", so he's our main man, not Paul or anybody else.
Paul simply carried on spreading the word so I got no beef with him..:)

I think you don't know what you talk about. Willfully or from ignorance. I haven't figured that out yet.

Let us be clear from the outset. The messages of Jesus and Paul were fundamentally different.

At an Elvis gig, people no doubt heard him differently depending where they were sitting, for example some might say "He said- stay offa my blue suede shoes", but others might say nah, "He said- 'don't tread on my shoes'", and others might say- "He said 'don't scuff my shoes".
Same with Jesus, the words might differ but the underlying melody stays the same, right Elv?
    "Uh-huh"..

I've been in action on the internet debating board for 14 years and know all my opponents little tricks; one is to deliberately throw a whole bunch of questions at me in one post which I can't possibly take the time to answer, then they shout "you never answered my question, boo-hoo" like you just did..:)
Here's the deal- post ONE question at a time so I can surgically answer it..:)

    One freaking question.
I've now asked it 4X. I even asked it again in this post you responded to.
You ignored for the 4th time.
So spare us your internet wizardry. We can all see what kind of debate skills you have.

Here, for the 5th time. How does one achieve eternal salvation? Faith, works, or faith and works!!
Is this to difficult for you?

    - - - Updated - - -

To show you really don't know what you it is you post about.
You contradict yourself in every other post.

And also, it's fun. You never can answer anything directly.

Well none of my parents or grandparents were the least bit religious as far as I know, they certainly never attended church.
But I think my dad had a respect for Jesus because when I was watching Zefirelli's 'Jesus of Nazareth' on TV in the 1970's he was sitting in his armchair pretending to read the paper but his eyes were peeping over the top at the screen.
As for my mother, our cat was once asking for a morsel off her dinner plate but she yelled "Get down" at him so I jokingly said "Jesus heard you!" and she replied "I don't care about bleddy Jesus!"
So I discovered Jesus on my own, his rebellious anti-Establishment words and actions seemed to strike a chord in me because I've always a bit of a rebel myself..:)
For example he said- "The world wants you to dance to its tune" (Matt 11:16/17)

    and I don't dance..:)

Well monks shut themselves away from the world in monasteries all their lives so they can work at strengthening their faith by getting closer to Jesus.
But most other people like to go around doing good work in the world.
Personally I like to compromise by doing a bit of both, but whether my approach or theirs is the right one only God knows, so all we can do is give it our best shot..:)-
"Work out your own salvation.." (Philip 2:12 KJV)

no guy named "Jesus" ever lived, that was just a new name they gave the mythical character so it would be easier for you to believe it.... his original middle eastern name would be a turn off to some

when you respect someone, you don't rename then after they die, can you imagine if we renamed Albert Einstein, that would be disrespectful

Thank you for tactitly admitting that you prefer the canards of Saul/Paul to the reality that Jesus, a devout Jew, was not the son of god.

Like I've said before, i got no beef with Paul because he was singing from the same song sheet as Jesus, heck he even had to remind people not to follow himself because- "I wasn't crucified for you" (1 Cor 1:12/13)
What exactly did Paul say that you don't seem to like?

I suppose you think Jesus was born on Dec 25th too?

I do not believe in the Abrahamic God, so am not Muslim, Christian or Jewish.... but I was Christian once, born and raised....

Except that is NOT the message from your deity. The threat is either worship him or spend eternity being punished for failing to do so. That is coercion.

Who died and appointed you lord high decider of the rules of posting?

If you fail to answer all questions then you have failed. That is how it works. Claiming to be a "champion" is utterly meaningless on the internet because anyone can claim to be anyone or anything they want.

When it comes to the internet the ONLY thing that counts is credibility. Either you have it or don't. Failing to answer all of the questions hurts credibility. Failing to substantiate allegations when called upon to do so hurts credibility.

Your choice as to whether or not credibility means anything to you.

So you completely and utterly missed the reason why James called Saul/Paul the man of the lie?

It is a blasphemy punishable by death to claim to be the son of god in Judaism.

Jesus, as a scholar, would have known this and never made such a claim.

Saul/Paul used this blasphemy about Jesus after he died to foment a religion opposing Judaism.

Why would you believe anyone who desecrated the name of Jesus after he died?

I didn't realize Philip had any input into how to reach salvation.
So, you don't know Jesus' stance on the topic. Since really, he actually is the final judge in this.

Paul wrote a letter to the Philippians, abbrevd to 'Philip'.
As for Jesus, he gave us a truckload of clues how to make it through the pearlies, so in that sense he was a living GPS..:)

I'm not sure what exactly you're accusing Paul of?
Jesus referred to himself as the son of God more than once, for example when the High Priest asked him if he was the Son of God, he replied "I am", and the HP freaked out-

Remember, the standard debating protocol is not to throw a fusillade of questions all at once, but instead to ask ONE question at a time like a chess game where opponents make ONE move at a time..:)

Ah, so you decided you didn't need Coach Jesus and decided to go it alone! Good luck..:)
Ben Cross in Chariots of Fire sat sulking after being beaten in a race for the first time ever by a few feet, then up comes coach Ian Holm and says "I can give you another two yards"..
The rest is history, under Holms expert coaching, Cross goes on to win an Olympic gold.
Likewise Jesus is the coach we all need to get us through the pearlies...
"Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize" (1 Cor 9:24)

I am an evolutionist and I would not make the above claim. Science is 100% about proofs as without proofs all we have is speculation. Science is also open to new evidence which may or may not change a current scientific conclusion. The objective evolutionists like me understand that there are many gaps in the theory of evolution that science has yet to answer and may never be able to answer... but I can also say the same about the theory of God.

Just like any large group of people, some evolutionists will be objective while others will be biased... I can make the same claim of Christians.

To me evidence is only as good as the objectivity of the observer. Without objectivity evidence can be claimed to be proof of anything. Without objectivity I can claim that a perceived image on my toast is proof of God thus negating the need to rule out all other possible causes that run afoul of my predetermined conclusion aka confirmation bias.
