Rasmussen's automated telephone polling that exclude cell phones skews toward an older demographic, and their frequently loaded questions - e.g., "Should the government set limits on how much salt Americans can eat?" when the issue was whether to limit the amount of salt in pre-processed food, or when Rasmussen polled whether Republican voters thought Rush Limbaugh was the leader of their party, the specific question they asked was: "Agree or Disagree: 'Rush Limbaugh is the leader of the Republican Party—he says jump and they say how high." - a particularly unprofessional embellishment for a professional pollster.

Nah, just cause you think it doesn’t mean it is true. While Rush is often insightful and a good communicator of the hypocrisy and outright deception of the Democratic Party, he is merely one source of such information.

The nation clearly saw the failures of the Obama administration and they also clearly see that the Democrats of today offer no solutions to any problems. Furthermore they are actually upset that the economy of doing well!!!!

The point is not about your media entertainer. It is that " "Agree or Disagree: 'Rush Limbaugh is the leader of the Republican Partyhe says jump and they say how high" is a needless addendum one would not expect from a professional pollster.

Your ideological dogma does not comport with empirical data.

The prior president completed the two terms to which he was elected (with more than 51% of the vote on both occasions) with around 60% approval. The current one, elected with fewer votes than is opponent, has consistently maintained a level of approval about 20 points lower, and Democrats are favored to take back control of the House in November.

Yes, harkening back to an opinion piece on a right-wing site of a six month vintage because it feeds an ideological bias is, indeed, hilarious. Still, I understand why valid polls can get hyper-partisans in a tizzy.

Your really should consider an objective, comprehensive, analytical forecast that is constantly updated: https://fivethirtyeight.com/feature...for-all-435-house-races/?ex_cid=2018-forecast

Most polls showed a tightening during the last days before the election, and 538's final popular vote aggregate was only 1.1% off, closer than in 2012.

Michael Moore had nailed it early on, but that was his personal guess, not a scientific survey.

Michael Moore is a certified moron. So if he is who you trust,....WHEw!

But the Democrats went down in flames the moment the economy started booming. The Democrats just don’t get it, never have!

You are free to certify Mr Moore as a moron if you are properly credentialed, and whether you trust him is your business.

I correctly noted that he had, early on, predicted the outcome of the 2016 presidential election.

If you are upset by public surveys that don't comport with your desires, you can always pretend they don't exist, of course.

I don't think it was ever anything but a ripple. Typical leftist vaporware.

Not upset, just find it humorous that you think Democrats stand an ice cubes chance in hell.

Even if the Democrats do not win the House, I'll still mark it as another stepping stone to recovery when there is a net gain of seats. All the special elections after the 2016 election have seen swings in percentage of vote towards the Democrats and they even picked up a couple on the federal level and dozens on the state level.

It took the Republicans FOUR elections to get to where they are now; 2010, 2012, 2014 and 2016. It took just TWO elections for the Democrats to win complete control; 2006 and 2008. Nobody ever said politics is easy. It's a long hard road and every victory small and big is to be celebrated. This will only be the first election since the losing streak. It's only the first step towards recovery.

If the dems do not come back, at this midterm, and pick up seats, enough to get some control, that will be a precedent. And bodes badly for this party.

I hardly think there will be a "blue wave." The Democratic Party has become the party of extreme ideas. The typical voter doesn't relate to that.

I'd be surprised if the GOP held the house. But it could happen..

Dude .. the election result was not a "Poll". That a Dem came close to winning in a overwhelmingly Red region is cause for serious concern.

The content of your OP refutes your premise.

The Dems have proven themselves childish and mentally unstable. No chance they will win in the mid terms.

That's what folks said about Trump. You are way to partisan to think critically about any issue involving politics.

Nice try but I hate Hillary. Typical logical fallacy to try and justify your own partisan blindness by claiming "Hillary groupies are partisan too". You are just as bad as they are.

Yawn, whatever. Trump will win re election and the Dems will lose in the midterms. Not because the Republicans are great, but rather because the Democrats are so fraudulent and childish. I don’t love either party.
