Christianity 500 years ago wasn't so much different from Islam today.

Christianity underwent a reformation, rejected spread by force and violence and adopted voluntary association instead. Should Orthodox Islam ever do that, the world will be a FAR better place.

Except the Old Testament went out the window with the birth of Christ. While Islam still mutilates the genitalia of small girls and lops off heads and tosses gays off rooftops and oppresses women and wages Jihad to this very day.

Perhaps, but that fraction of one percent is in control of the doctrine. I know most muslims are peaceful, but they are heretical according to their own religions orthodoxy, much in the same way that Martin Luther was when he separated from Roman Catholicism.

 

The problem is that they have to completely erase the existing Muhammed,
and re-invent a new one.
That is not going to happen.
Also there is no senior authority on Islam.

actually nobody is in control of the doctrine.
There are 5 main sources, and that cannot change.

 

Then Protestants are all heretics. Extremists do not control the doctrine just as the pope does not control all christanity. The problem is the extremists.....not the religion. If your goal is to wipe out the religion.....you have already lost

 

No. More than a billion are living in peace. Most don't even live in the Middle East. Lol

Many Catholics do indeed view protestants as heretics. Prolly many Protesatants view Catholics the same way.

But we're not killing eachother over it anymore, and aside from Ireland, we havn't for generations.

They are not fighting at all anymore.....but you better believe it was also about Protestants vs catholics

 

I want want to hear your point. I hear a lot of bashing of Islam......that it is violent....if so it seems the obvious conclusion is to go to war with Islam and wipe it out. Just like the nazis. Is that the plan?
