You are trying to claim that no women have sex with the intent of getting pregnant? That no woman understands that sex can lead to pregnancy? You are so far off the planet you are not worth reading any longer.

Exaggerate much? I did not interpret the post to be a universal claim that every woman has sex without intending to get pregnant. Some have sex because they want to have a baby and some have recreational sex (with NO intent to have a baby). Some start out wanting a baby but encounter health problems (like Savita Halappanavar) and change their mind (just like you might change your mind about the visitor you invited into your home if he went temporarily insane and started swing an axe in your direction).

I've presented my argument. Its up to the abortionist to definitively prove that it is not a person, other wise it must be assumed to be a person based on the mores of our society.

The fertilized egg will proceed to become a baby, then child, and adult, as it moves through the stages of the natural life cycle of a human being. Because a preborn baby is not an adult does not mean it is not a person, it is different just as a newborn baby is different from an adult.

Your "proof" first assumes the definition of a person (as having a certain level of brain function, for example), in other words you are working backwards.

BS. Pregnancy is exceptionally safe. And in almost all cases it is a condition entered into voluntarily with full knowledge of the consequences.

It is very safe for you....in the waiting room. Some women die or are permanently disabled from it. That is a fact. But its ok....you will be very safe so I guess that's all that matters

She made the blanket statement that "...the woman did NOT invite a baby into her body...." She did not make any exceptions.

I have never stated I oppose all abortion, when the woman's life is at significant risk then abortion is an obvious option - if the mother dies then baby obviously dies as well.

I absolutely reject the insane notion that all pregnancy is a life threatening risk, and I reject the equally insane claim that pregnancy can be terminated in self-defense. Those are just excuses to justify unlimited abortion.

Sex leads to pregnancy - that's its biological function. Birth control is not perfect. If a woman has sex, then she runs the risk of creating a human being. Once she creates that human being, then she has to balance her rights with the other person involved (the baby). If you don't want to pay the price, then don't take the risk.

I have a solution! Folks who don't believe in abortion shouldn't have one. More than half the folks in the U.S. believe abortion should be legal.

So you could NOT address anything in my post and came up with that piece of illogical crap !

I think you KNOW when you're beaten, and that's your way of admitting it ....:)

Just to show your response had nothing to do with the post of mine you quoted here it is:

If YOU invite someone into your house and they start beating you I imagine you just take the beating....

....................but other people don't have to, they use common sense and self defense.

YOU do NOT want to "balance the rights " of WOMEN ( a person is NOT a mother until they give birth, CAN'T YOU EVEN GET THAT SIMPLE FACT?)

YOU want to give the fetus MORE rights than the woman it's and anyone else on earth!!!!!!)

Abortion isn't a "sentence", the fetus can' be guilty or innocent.....

And , YES, women can have an abortion for ANY reason they choose ...and besides her health, what other reason would there be BUT inconvenience?

When so many posters show you how wrong you are why don't you take a hint....

    .....and , abortion is legal

AGAIN: Why do you want the fetus to have more rights than anyone else? Rights with NONE of the restrictions of other PERSONS????????????????????"""""""""""""

WHY do you think the following proves that a fetus is a person? It doesn't , it's just babbling about stages in life.

"""The fertilized egg will proceed to become a baby, then child, and adult, as it moves through the stages of the natural life cycle of a human being. Because a preborn baby is not an adult does not mean it is not a person, it is different just as a newborn baby is different from an adult. """

Well that would be a good solution but there are misogynists who believe women should be controlled and punished for having fun sex ...without THEM ! :roflol:

But what you can't seem to get is that women can have abortions....they can have all the fun wild sex they want and all the abortions they want .....and they do ..

YOU have NO say in it ....

You can "reject" the scientific facts of pregnancy but did you actually believe the facts would change to suit YOU!!! :) They didn't.

Making abortion illegal would have little or no effect on the abortion rate.

And you are working from your definition of a person. Therefore the issue of personhood is basically a "religious" disagreement and the government (in America) has no right to enforce one view over another. You have the right to follow your mythology (since you acknowledge that you cannot figure out exactly when personhood begins) and I will follow science (which tells me the fetus cannot sustain experience - which is necessary for personhood) until actual birth.

Rubbish, for one there is no way you can show that a female invites a fetus into her body.
For another even if I invite you into my home and you attempt/start to injure me I have the right to defend myself

Complete and utter failure on your part, as usual.

not in the slightest, you are the one trying to claim that no women have sex with the intent of not getting pregnant.

Irrelevant, exposure to risk is not acceptance of any injuries incurred due to taking that risk .. it is simply acceptance of exposure to risk. The assumption of risk can, and is, often tied into contributory negligence where the actions of a person can bring harm to themselves but even so those people who consent to risk do not lose the right to be free of non consensual injuries from others.

and you have zero understanding of your own laws and constitution.

and your argument is irrelevant, your argument offers no rationale to your conclusion, your argument is simply based on preconceived answers without a shred of anything to back it up .. and still your turn yellow and run away from debating me.

Yes you reject them because you don't have the balls to debate them, in fact you obviously know you would have your arse handed to you on a plate .. typical pro-lifer ... no idea .. no courage and little knowledge.

You really do need to do some research your lack of knowledge is showing through.

    1. Sex leads to pregnancy ... no (*)(*)(*)(*) Sherlock
    2. That's a biological function ... so the unborn cannot be persons then, a biological function is a natural function and as a natural function it cannot have influence from mankind .. the fetus cannot be natural and a person, the one negates the other.
    3. Birth control is not perfect ... no (*)(*)(*)(*) Sherlock .. the very fact that the female uses birth control shows that her intent was NOT TO GET PREGNANT ie no consent has been given for the fetus to invade her body autonomy.
    4. If a woman has sex, then she runs the risk of creating a human being. ... Your biology is pathetic, the female doesn't create anything, let alone a human being.
    5. Once she creates that human being, then she has to balance her rights with the other person involved (the baby). ... correct, and her rights allow her to use what ever force is necessary to stop ANY non-consented injuries imposed upon her by a third party, which is what you claim the unborn are from conception. Her consent to sexual intercourse has zero relevance to the unborn 'person', consent is not a transferable commodity unless the person who gave the consent agrees to that transfer ergo the fetus as an independent person MUST gain separate consent to impose upon the female, just as your brother/friend cannot assume a female has consented to sex with them just because she consented to sex with you.
6 If you don't want to pay the price, then don't take the risk. ... Then don't you ever drive a car any more, or get involved in any sports . .because if you don't want to pay the price, then don't take the risk.

can you even read a graph.

Pro-life has been on a downward trend since 2013, while pro-choice has been on an upward trend since then, in fact since records began (1995) pro-life have only been in front of pro-choice on two occasions.

This entire thread has debunked the fallacy of the OP and yes, that includes your own fallacies.

The Law of the Land is the will of We the People.

We the People chose to separate church from state so the secular Law of the Land prevails over theist beliefs.

A fetus is not a person until AFTER it is naturally born as per the will of We the People.

    BZZZZT Wrong again!

It is entirely up to you to overturn the legal definition of person under the Law of the Land.

Stomping your feet and holding your breath (virtually speaking) doesn't mean squat in terms of the Law of the Land. You need to provide actual substantive arguments to change the law.

And people are killed in car accidents, and walking down stairs, and from plastic surgery, and swimming in the YMCA pool. Life has risks. Pregnancy is much less risky than almost every other activity.

And pregnancy is almost always voluntary.

So if you risk walking down stairs and are injured in that risk , YOU refuse medical treatment because YOU took a risk....uh, ya, OK....

BTW, Please prove that women can voluntarily get pregnant?

A woman cannot choose to get pregnant...she either does or doesn't . She can voluntarily TRY to become pregnant but that doesn't mean she will.
