The next-to-last verse in the Bible (In Revelations) is Jesus saying, "I am coming soon." He said that 2,000 years ago.


Christianity: The popular belief that a celestial Jewish baby who is also his own father, born from virgin mother, died for three days so that he could ascend to heaven on a cloud and then make you live forever only if you symbolically eat his flesh, drink his blood and telepathically tell him you accept him as your lord & master so he can remove an evil force from your spiritual being that is present in all humanity because an immoral woman made from a man's rib was hoodwinked by a talking reptile possessed by an malicious angel to secretly eat forbidden fruit from a magical tree. Sounds perfectly plausible...

 

Please keep in mind we are dealing with an Intelligence so great that that Being can take any moment in time from the time of His resurrection.......
and replicate all humans who lived in that instant......

and then spin off a new time line that fulfills Ezekiel chapter thirty seven, Revelation chapter twenty and Romans chapters nine, ten and eleven.... just to name a few verses.......

String Theory, The Anthropic Principle, Energy from Quantum Vacuum, Multiverse Theory, and a Grand Unified Theory even in its infancy all indicate that our Creator has no technological limitations at all.

 

So what do you actually know about String Theory, The Anthropic Principle, Energy from Quantum Vacuum, Multiverse Theory, and a Grand Unified Theory proving a supernatural creator, let alone saying the creator has no limitations?

You are attempting an argument from authority (a fallacy), only the scientific authorities of the science you cite do not even assert their is a creator.

Rather than pseudo science perhaps you will present or cite empirical evidence to support asserting there is a creator.

 

What if Jesus did return, looked around, saw today's Christians, was embarassed by what they had done and were doing in his name, and quietly left?

My theory is that whoever Azazel is whose name is given in Leviticus chapter sixteen in the original Hebrew as well as in the Book of Enoch..... he becomes the ultimate General Abner type of person who led the northern ten tribes to King David... or to the Apostle Paul who repented of killing Messianic Jews and even worse.... .compelling them to blaspheme before he killed them.........

First I want to say I am replying with no intention to convert, trash or challenge any of the posts you made.
Interesting .I did try to read your copied text and cut out all the poetic and repeated allusions (as opposed to illusions) .
This is what I got.
The testimony by the near death experiencer is cast very much as an affirmation of what science now tells us of the nature of the universe (s). It takes the theories now pretty much accepted as probable and puts them into terms synonymous with what most people understand as theological , giving them recognised references like God which is perfectly understandable for reasons of easier communication.
If you look back to some of the threads in which we discussed what came before the Big Bang you will find mention of vibration in a near void. This is a well known part of string theory hence your subtitle.
I'll throw in a personal comment...years ago I had major surgery during which I had a ND experience. I won't go into detail but it wasn't far off the one you describe. When I mentioned it, the doctor said it isn't unusual when the patient is given a certain drug...I forget the name.
The second extract about music you use is actually very close to 15th ans 16th century western cultural belief in The Music of the Spheres where the planets move in concentric circles rubbing against each other making celestial music, or God's harmony. It indicates the spirit of God managing the universe. If anything happens to destabilise this order of God, the world will suffer and vice versa. We too can cause celestial disharmony. Much literature has been written using such imagery . As for music in trees, it has been proven that you can hear water rising up treetrunks to support them.
The parts about the nature of Satan is very close to Milton's understanding of his nature. The conclusion includes that the nature of evil is to be outside of good.

After much reading and reflection, I recognise the roots of these proposals as being either old theories or attempts at incorporating new science into spiritual terms.
I could add something of my own. While I am not into celestial music other that the great choral works generated by faith or all kinds , I believe this. That because matter and creation cannot die, but can change in nature (liquid to gas etc) there is truth in what is called resurrection. I also believe we can direct out resurrection/reincarnation before we die. Cremation releases you into the wider universe(s) as light and heat. Burial retains your essence here on earth and you regenerate life anew here.
The choice is yours.
Finally I have long been noting a struggle in the Christian faith to remain relevant. Hitching fundamental concepts to new science has been done for a very long time. I have no issue with it other than it is recognised as a tradition. It is done every day in those God spots . And the parts about heavenly music was the same effort in times when science was just developing knowledge of planetary motion.
Explanations about the nature of evil are based on the duality present in every aspect of reality...either something is or it is not. And one defines the other. Good defines evil, evil defines good. Both have to exist. There must always be a comparative for the words to mean anything.

Two points:
1) It is so obvious, that believing a literal translation of everything written in the Bible is silly, that you get 0 intellect points, for taking that argument.

2) If, however, you choose to show your superior intelligence, in this way, at least do the minimal required research of your topic, to not sound like an idiot. The only New Testament Books that are taken to contain actual quotes of Jesus, are the four gospels. The Revelation has no such basis, for that claim. Everything in that Book is surreal, and it is clearly not meant to be taken literally. It was, BTW, one of the last books accepted into the Christian biblical canon (I just read) and is still rejected by some churches, that derive from the Church of the East.
