Why did all those statues get built in the 50s and 60s? What could have been going on during that time??? For the most part the left don't seem to know very much about history (other than the white man is bad) and lack critical thinking -- yet many have attended College. At one point the purpose of College, i.e., the traditional liberal arts education, was to teach people how to think. The people so educated were deemed to be of the social class that provided leaders for society and government. Now education is for the masses and is mostly training intended to teach the skills for a job much like any trade school. Thus many young people who think they are educated because they went to College are not educated in critical thinking, logic, history, English and so forth.
