Good! Hope he gets convicted on what the prosecution calls for. The guy is a scumbag.

Can you believe John Edwards was my strong choice for POTUS. I really liked the guy and most of what he stood for. It appeared he cared for the poor people. Sheesh! What a disappointment to say the least.

Edwards is kind of a Huey Long figure.

He's spent most of his time defending the "little guy" against the establishment, but unfortunately, he has a very dark side as well.

If we could get someone with the same policy stances as Edwards but without his character flaws, he or she would make an excellent candidate for president.

The disappoint shouldn't be limited to bad feelings about John Edwards. How come you're not OUTRAGED that the DNC would bring forth a scumbag like him to be the POTUS, knowing he was a scumbag????

That's a much bigger issue than Edwards not being able to keep it in his pants.

How anybody can trust them to pick another presidential candidate is beyond my realm of thinking.

I don't think he'll be able to get a $400 haircut in prison..

But on the plus side, they do like "pretty boys" in prison and tend to give them things for free.

Well it's hard to tell sometimes with these people. They have access to so many resources to keep them looking squeaky clean to the average Joes like us Kidrocks.

I used to joke about him for those 400.00 haircuts...but that was about all I really had to gripe at the guy about. Didnt, know what kind of guy he really was.

Acting on their horniness is their downfall.

Lack of morals is their downfall. Sexual antics is just what they get caught doing... we can rest assured the rest of their moral convictions are just as weak.

Not necessarily true. Humans are not perfect and just because one makes a moral mistake does not mean they are doomed to immorality. Many recover and learn how to dicipline themselves when faced with similiar situations. Many recover and become stronger for it.

Everyone has a vice. How they handle that vice is what matters.

For example, someone can be an excellent paramedic but suffer from alcoholism. His alcoholism doesn't detract from his talent and skill at his job unless he lets it interfere with him at work.

Likewise, a politician like Edwards could be an excellent statesman despite being an adulterer. However, Edwards appears to have taken things a step further by violating campaign finance laws. That's the real reason he's in trouble -- not his adultery.

Agree when you're talking about individuals. Don't agree when it comes to national organizations who've already proven they will try to hide a candidates background to put them in office. How can anybody trust them not to try it again?

Only a fool believes the DNC didn't know about his infidelity before they pushed his candidacy. That's the real issue here... not what Edwards has done.

We don't truly know who knew what, do we? Or do you know something we don't?

Where did I say that I believed that?

Both the DNC and the RNC cover up for their candidates. That's not illegal unless it involves lying under oath or lying to a cop.

Forget that - won't happen. white collar crime people like Edwards will be sent to a college campus type of prison where their wealth will provide them w/all the comforts of home...... these convicts don't suffer in any way, shape or form - money talks.

No, that is your personal issue with it.

You are clearly bias because you have no support or facts to back up your unwarranted assertions.

Edwards indictment is all the proof we need. Unless we'd be more comfortable sweeping the DNC's role in his coverup under the rug, that is.

I'm ok with it to the extent that it's inevitable.

If your job is to protect a client from scrutiny, would you tell the media about a secret affair your client is having or would you lie or find a creative way to dodge the question?

If you spilled the beans without legal coercion, you wouldn't have your job for very long.

Do you really think the DNC's job is to protect their candidates from scrutiny? You do realize they're selecting people to work for WE THE PEOPLE, don't you? Sorry, but I expect higher standards from such a powerful organization. The well-being of our country is at stake everytime they recommend a new leader for us.

Do you think the RNC doesn't do the same?

If your beef with the DNC is that they cover up for their candidates, then you'd probably just be better off voting for third party candidates and independents. There's a lot of covering up by both parties.

I'd like my candidate of choice to have as few skeletons in the closet as possible, but I'm not naive to think that either party operates in a completely honest fashion.

Looks like the Breck Girl will be somebody's wife in prison. Poor John Boy, he needs to experience first hand what the other American's must endure under political hacks like himself.
