The libs have a proven track record of running this country PROPERLY Mak and that is why there is so much support for them. By your thinking anyone that wants this country to NOT be run into the ground is a moron??? I say the morons are those that spew forth incorrect information about the libs as a scare campaign are the real morons.

It appears that Gillard has stuck her nose into the Qantas fiasco by telling the parties to "get around a table and get it done"

What a joke, this from the purported leader of our Government, who cannot resolve the asylum seeker mess, but simply blames the Court for disagreeing with her and the Opposition for playing hardball....what a jibberer....get it done, Gillard...

AND by the way, if the Coalition was in power and stuffing it up like this, Id be laying the slipper into them too...that goose Abbott should stop and think how stupid he looks in budgie smugglers....not a good look for someone wanting to be Prime Minister...

AND slithering into the background is Brown, laughing at the whole cluster...

    Gillard, youre a hypocrite.

Pity that there was more left wing support at the last election, when it counted.

Labor didnt have the majority vote mate...they needed to do a lot of backroom deals to stay in power. All that is in the past of course cos at the next election they and all the left wing nutters will be gone.

Gee, I keep forgetting that only the major parties are from the left or the right.

Part of the problem is the way we pay these people. We pay them next to nothing while in office & don`t attract the right people. We pay them too much after they retire, their retirement plan should be deducted for bad performance, such as lying etc. Party politics also, is the archiles heel of democracry.

Both our major parties, and more importantly our public service, are extremely capable behind the scenes. Some of them are utterly horrible in front of the camera, Gillard and Abbott included. But Australia has one of the most functional parliaments in the world, even with a minority government.

People like to throw around words like 'treason' and 'incompetence' a lot without having a clue about what treason really is or what having an incompetent government means.

There are few better managed countries (if any) in the world.

The only thing we really have to worry about is our politicians being dragged down to the level of the hysterical rantings of the likes of Alan Jones. Barnaby Joyce is the main offender imo. Abbott has his moments but he's been alright lately. Media hype and this sort of, competitive us vs. them sporting mentality in politics is also a problem.

Politics is turning into a bit of circus, it's going to follow that it starts filling up with clowns. If Angry Anderson gets elected into state/federal parliament, that's the beginning of the end for us all.

I don't get to see A Jones at all, but did catch him on Sky at the press club talking about food security yesterday.

He made some excellent points and was far from hysterical.

"dragged down"?? How can you drag down Labor politicians when they are already in the gutter?
What's wrong with Angry Anderson? He may make an excellent politician. I bet he won't throw all his moral principles down the toilet and sell his soul to the Nats like Garrett sold his to Labor.
