Hopefully this will be the catalyst for a move toward more responsible and professional government.

The catalyst for people to see the truth and judge Abbott for the negative deviate he is.

Time is endless dumb....that leaves too much scope to move the goal posts. Word from Canberra is becoming stronger on the fate of Abbott as Slippery alluded to not so long ago. It is starting to seep out that the liberal party are considering shafting Abbott over the carbon price. He staked too much on this one issue, which was quite clear!! It will apparently happen sooner rather than later due to the coalition not being confident that Abbott could drag them across the line come election time. His caucus aren't completely disappointed in him but feel he has done his job. Watch this space!!!

I heard on Friday from my mate scoop down in Canberra that he has lost the confidence of his money backers. We all know all is not great with clivey boy. But it is said that they are not happy with his resonance with the public. Word has it that moves are already rolling and if Abbott can't sure up his numbers, and he has many don't worry about that, he may face a challenge before October.

They must be a little worried about losing the unloseable election.

Also all is not well in camp Julia with murmurings from the rear of the house that this is it, if polls don't dramatically turn around soon its bye bye Gillard goodbye. I don't think this will happen, scoop loves the libs and probably threw this in for fun.

Then again if Abbott is replaced by, lets say, Turnbull....queen Julia might feel the chill of the back bench draft.

Politics is so much fun. More rumours than Hollywood.

Yeah, IMO Julia will be a goner whether Turnbull gets in or not if the polls don't improve in next couple of months. It is a pretty unusual position in politics. I suppose the whole hung parliament issue has been from the very beginning. Ahh well, we'll just have to wait and see whether these rumours come to fruition.

Vigilante I think she will lead them to the next election, if they swap now the risk losing the public for good. You see she has been the face behind all the policy they have run with, by sacking her what does that say to the people. First Rudd now her.....not a good look. Who would they put in out of their inner sanctum that has not vehemently defended her.......again not a good look.

Scoop was just playing with that comment. No doubt where there is smoke there is fire, but just a little camp fire in this regard. If she were to be sacked Labor would deserve the publics ire. It would be a truly stupid political move so close to an election.

However on the other side of the coin it could be the big play from the Libs. A new leader, a new more positive position, and all capitalising on the anti Labor sentiment atm. But they need to act soon, prime ministers aren't made in a day.

Not so sure about Gillard. She'll be seen as, (as is the case now), the major and sole liability if polls don't improve anyway. From here Rudd is the only logical option at this stage, because he is who the people want. I put my money on a Rudd comeback in this instance, due to the fact he polls higher than abbott and gillard put together.

Problem is his party loathe him. So if they re elect him what will that say about them as a serious party. They would never risk it. There is one person who the ALP hate more than monkey ears Abbott and that is has been Kevin. Too close, they will tough it out, all or nothing from this point forward for the reds.

It would be political suicide for either party to dump their leader before the next election.

I tend to agree with that. How anyone could trust Turnbull is beyond me, and many other people. Rudd has blotted his copy book by failing to completely obey the back room boys.

Turnbull is clearly miles ahead of anyone else in parliament in leadership potential, Rudd is just an idiot.

Turnbull is still a merchant banker, he could steal all of your fingers while you were picking your nose.

However, stupidly enough he is the only REAL alternative in opposition, AT THIS TIME. If there was a leader change, it will be too late now to bring another candidate to the floor without vetting them for the public. Sorry to say, other more notable characters would seem to be much of the same.

Hope you got all the refrigerant you need since its gone up almost 400%. But of course we'll hear a lot of "some price rises seem to be larger than what would be expected" from the ALP.
