It's become pretty clear that "our allies" were Ukrainian gov't officials, and a host of current / former MI6 agents who all have deep tie$ to the Clinton$. Clinton$ Ukrainian operatives provided the dubious "black ledger" Yanukovych "forgot" when he left for Moscow. Haklyut & Co. and Chris Steele were are "allies" in Great Britain, and it's doubtful Halper lured Papadopoulos to London without having a specific purpose in mind. The FBI / CIA can't seem to commit to what event became the catalyst for it's surveillance. Probable cause needs to be established for wire taps, as warrants must be obtained. "Informants" were used as a crooked means to avoid the legal protections of the 4th amendment and FISA.

    I do.

A President cannot stop a criminal investigation for corrupt reasons, subverting the due and proper administration of law.

Hoover's dead and has been for a long time. So is Nixon.

Are you OK with criminals being allowed to go unprosecuted because they are political cronies of the President? Are you OK with innocents being prosecuted because they are political rivals of the President? That's what you can get if the President controls law enforcement, rather than leaving them independent to follow the law. If you're OK with that kind of thing, welcome to Russia West.

Its pretty clear when they don't turn over subpoena'd records, and try and hide behind what they think is classified info. Running around talking about they wont be threatened by Congress. Or bullied. Which they haven't seen either ones of those.

Maybe its a bout time they do. All it takes is one in Congress that wont put up with their BS and makes it a point to make their lives extremely difficult.

You want the President to be above the law? You want him to be able to execute at will? Drag rivals into court in cages and strip them of their assets because they pushed back against the President? Putin does that.

Oh you mean what we have seen coming out of the BO peep Administration? I think you can tell I wasn't okay with it.

Btw just because those two are dead. Doesn't mean the FBI and DOJ remained independent. If anything over time they have become more politicized than what they were.

Not ... Artice II provides congressional remedy. Absent that, charges can be brought upon expiration of term. We've given illegal aliens a decade of "D.eferment A.C.A." No reason we can't afford our own president the same luxury.

What does Obama have to do it? I joined this site in 2015. I didn't do much preaching here during Obama's term of office. I also don't remember Obama telling the FBI to drop an investigation. Seems to me most of the investigations going on in Obama's term was done by Congress, not the FBI.

Let me be sure I understand you…. are you saying, regardless of Trump's potentially corrupt intent, obstruction of justice, and collusion with Russia, Saudi Arabia, UAE, and Israel, we should give him a decade of deferment because illegal aliens brought here as children have DACA status?

Mueller cannot charge collusion as collusion is not a crime.

The investigation itself, corrupted. We have an investigation in which no one has been formally charged of the main crime of importance: Russian Collusion(Conspiracy to Intent)He has used the excuse of "I need the interview with Trump" to finish a probe that he has shown no interest whatsoever of advancing.

Yeah, consider me very skeptical. So they say "We can subponea the President". Then please, by all means do that. Oh wait, he won't do that either.

Robert Mueller is not God. Robert Mueller was not elected to his position(neither was Rod Rosenstein for that matter.) The very existence of the current state of affairs violates the premise of US Government. Even without Collusion, or anything else, this "investigation" has succeeded in destroying the US Federal Government.

If the Apostles of the State(DOJ) were to prevail, US National elections wouldn't matter anymore. At the drop of the hat, pending some 'investigation' your elected official of choice could be removed. Participation rates will go right back down to 1960's-2008 levels of "I don't give a crap".

Did firing Comey stop any investigation?

I'm saying we must, not "should" abide by the provisions of the US constitution. You want to destroy our democracy, the quickest, surest way is nullify the US constitution. The constitution is THE instrument that guarantees a gov't of the people.

Still not a crime. One of a Presidents plenary powers cannot be a crime since it is given as a constitutional power. As Comey said, the president can fire him for ANY reason or no reason at all.

Actually it is, but it has to do with bribery. This page b>1>B

    (B)
to influence such public official or person who has been selected to be a public official to commit or aid in committing, or collude in, or allow, any fraud, or make opportunity for the commission of any fraud, on the United States; or
We don't know what Mueller is going to end up with, when it comes to charges. I used the word of the day, so to speak. Gates pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy against the United States, and is cooperating with the Mueller investigation. His cooperation has been reported to be on collusion, particularly when it comes to Manafort.

According to Trump, the investigation is corrupt, and the FBI planted a spy in his campaign. According to Trump, Mexico is going to pay for the wall and Kim Jong Un treated American prisoners well. I guess he forgot Otto Warmbier.

Mueller hasn't gotten an answer from Trump on the interview. How is that Mueller not having evidence? He hasn't used the interview as an excuse. He's asked Trump to be interviewed and Trump has not answered. Mueller is being patient while Guiliani spins like a top trying to find some concession from Mueller. Trump does not get to control the interview, but he is trying.

Check Bill Clinton's history and see if he wasn't subpoenaed to the Grand Jury. He was. Then he decided to cooperate and testify.

You know who isn't God? Trump isn't.

I'm not going to respond to the rest. You're welcome to your opinion, but we don't agree.

What was the President's stated intention, with regards to the Flynn investigation, at the time he fired Comey? To relieve pressure he felt from the Russian investigation. Notice that the President had Flynn and pressure on Trump from the Russian investigation linked. Why is that? Does that matter?

Obstruction of justice isn't about the outcome, but rather the intent to interfere.

So, if the Constitution functions under the premise that this is a country of law and that no man is above the law, what do we do about someone that commits a criminal act, and then works to cover up the criminal act by firing those investigating the criminal act? Who is going to keep the leader acting according to the Constitution, if not law enforcement? Since law enforcement is part of the executive branch, the executive must allow them to act independently, or we cannot assure justice can take place, in the event of a corrupt leader.
