It appears they missed the Logical in investigating those that gave up breaches to the Russians in all our Top branches of government. Then left tracks to their DNC, DCCC, and Hillary's Campaign.

Whats funny is the Keystone Cops could have even figured out that the Demos were traitors and incompetents to the Country.

But hey maybe your FBI can give out some amnesty to Clapper and Brennan like the FBI patsies did for the Clinton aides destroying evidence under a subpoena.

Uhm, it's truly amazing how you can get even the simplest concepts wrong, unless you do it on purpose, God forbid...

Because nobody in the clinton campaign had any contact with Russians offering to collude with them or touting illegal activity

How The Code Name ‘Crossfire Hurricane’ Undermines The FBI’s Russia Story
The paper of record has apparently joined a campaign, spearheaded by government and political operatives, to minimize Christopher Steele’s role in the Russia investigation.

The New York Times’ 4,000-word report last week on the Federal Bureau of Investigation probe of Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign’s possible ties to Russia revealed for the first time that the investigation was called “Crossfire Hurricane.”

After an October news report showed his dossier was funded by the Clinton campaign and Democratic National Committee, facts that further challenged the credibility of Steele’s research, the FBI investigation’s origin story shifted.

Further reinforcement of the new origin story came from congressional Democrats. A January 29 memo written by House Intelligence Committee minority staff under ranking member Rep. Adam Schiff further distances Steele from the opening of the investigation. “Christopher Steele’s raw reporting did not inform the FBI’s decision to initiate its counterintelligence investigation in late July 2016. In fact, the FBI’s closely-held investigative team only received Steele’s reporting in mid-September.”

The code name “Crossfire Hurricane” is further evidence that the FBI’s cover story is absurd. A reference to a movie about a British spy evading Russian spies behind enemy lines suggests the Steele dossier was always the core of the bureau’s investigation into the Trump campaign.

The damage done to the American press is equally large. Since the November 2016 presidential election, a financially imperiled media industry gambled its remaining prestige on Russiagate. Yet after nearly a year and a half filled with thousands of stories feeding the Trump-Russia collusion conspiracy, last week still represented a landmark moment in American journalism. The New York Times, which proudly published the Pentagon Papers, provided cover for an espionage operation against a presidential campaign.

These questions are sure to be asked. What we know already is that the Times reporters did not ask them, because they do not bother to indicate that the officials interviewed for the story had declined to answer. That they did not ask these questions is evidence the Times is no longer a newspaper that sees its job as reporting the truth or holding high government officials responsible for their crimes.....snip~

And its truly not so amazing, that you couldn't figure out who gave the Breaches to the Russians then gave their Ambassador an invite to sit with them on the Floor of Congress.

Afterall you are a leftist and do like to play like the Stones and Just their Imagination.

Yeah, the CLINTON CAMPAIGN DID THE CONTACTING THEMSELVES.

Your explanation is asininely ridiculous on its face, if STOPPING RUSSIAN INFLUENCE WAS TH GOAL, that is, obviously.

Google up all the Russians breached under your beloved Democrats. Even the Lame Stream reported it.

Then google up Mark Penn the Clintoncrat and his piece on the Hill. He will help filter thru all you are not able to. Then ask yourself why he is dumping on Mueller and the rest of the New Breed of Demos.

What 'investigation'? Seriously, at this point let's ask ourselves what investigation has Rosenstein/Mueller conducted over the past year(and two if we start with Comey). The major thing was "collusion" with the Russians, but there is not a single charge to that claim(it would be known as Conspiracy to Intent.). We further learned there was nothing of significance in Trump Tower, and multiple witnesses confirmed in the Senate meeting that the 'dictated letter' was factually accurate.

It's clear, to the public evidence available that Rosenstein/Mueller have both failed to investigate the President and we can question how many resources they put forward. Let's be brutally honest: This 'investigation' does have obstruction: Obstructing the President of the United States. Because he had been named a subject for over two years, it's essentially legal limbo.

And everyone yells about Obstruction, but Mueller needs to "interview Trump", WTF? If you have the evidence you need, then write the report already and enable Congress to begin its impeachment proceedings. Let's be brutally honest there too: Mueller needs the interview, because otherwise he lacks evidence against Donald Trump.

The interesting thing, is if that logical conclusion is correct it also means that Mueller will fail any subponea attempt since he has to prove that Trump would have evidence that otherwise he can't obtain. As long as we're in this current stranglehold, the so-called Mueller Probe will last throughout the rest of Trump's term.

Even funnier is how they think that because Nunes has said nothing.....means whats in their imagination. Forgetting Nunes Subponea'd the info. That's after their WAPO told them Nunes had put in the subpoena.

President Trump and his allies are outraged at reports that the FBI used an “informant” to spy on Trump’s 2016 campaign. “Really bad stuff!” the president tweeted early Friday. Supporters of the White House claim the FBI’s reported tactics were illegal. House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) has even subpoenaed the Justice Department for information on who the informant might have been; department and FBI officials say public disclosures of this kind could put sources in danger.

But Trump and his backers are wrong about what it means that the FBI reportedly was using a confidential source to gather information early in its investigation of possible campaign ties to Russia. The investigation started out as a counterintelligence probe, not a criminal one. And relying on a covert source rather than a more intrusive method of gathering information suggests that the FBI may have been acting cautiously — perhaps too cautiously — to protect the campaign, not undermine it.....snip~

Grassley Reminds FBI Agents Wanting to Blow the Whistle: You Are Legally Protected to Do So

According to media reports this week, a number of FBI agents are hoping to get subpoenaed in the Russia probe so they can expose corruption at the top of the Bureau. In other words, guys on the ground are ready to talk about decisions made by the suits in Washington D.C.

In light of these reports, Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee Chuck Grassley is reminding agents wanting to come forward that they don't need a subpoena to do so.

In a letter to President Trump, Grassley explained how the whistleblower process works and guarantees protections for those exposing corruption.....snip~

Are you insinuating that Rosenstein's status is private, or what? His official title is Deputy Attorney General, and he was confirmed into that position by the Senate after being appointed by Trump. Rosenstein oversees the Mueller investigation, as the Acting AG, because Sessions is recused. Of course he should have been in the meeting. So should Wray. They lead the agencies over which Congress is exercising oversight by having this classified intelligence briefing.

I’m insinuating Rosenstein’s status has changed or is about to change. He will either be fired, recuse himself, retire, or quit. This could have happened already and we just haven’t heard about it or it will happen soon. Rod is dirty, but I suspect he will try to stay employed to enjoy the benefit of federally funded legal representation.
Sessions and Wray are on the up and up.

And I can't keep you guys straight on Sessions... half of youse seem to want him gone, half of youse dont... very mystifying, although he is a man who knows how to recuse himself and stick by that... gotta give him that...

Yeah, there are some on my side that think sessions is too quiet and weak, and I understand that feeling. But sessions is true red white and blue and will do the right thing. This whole quandary in which we find ourselves should encourage us to rise above partisan bickering and tit for tat. This is about the founding principles of our republic.

Where were you when there was a 4 year investigation into Benghazi with no charges? Where were you when there was a 2 year investigation into emails with no charges? Why weren't you calling for those investigations to produce charges after a year? Why weren't you equally incensed that those investigations took a long time and there were no charges after one year?

Do you think it would be a wise move for Mueller to go ahead and charge Don Jr and Kushner, before Trump has been interviewed? If you want this thing to hurry up, push Trump to make up his mind and interview with Mueller, so he can close that part of the investigation. Once Trump decides, one way or the other, if he's going to interview, Mueller can go on to the next step. What we're waiting on is Trump to decide if he is going to interview or not.

I don't think Mueller needs Trump to interview, but he has to offer him the opportunity. Other presidents have dodged giving testimony in a criminal investigation too, but they eventually did, or resigned. If Trump declines the interview, Mueller moves on. Maybe he subpoenas, as has already been threatened. Maybe he uses other proof. Maybe he just doesn't close the obstruction part of his investigation until he's ready to reveal everything. If you think he has nothing, and is betting on tripping up Trump in the interview, you're welcome to believe what you like. If Mueller had nothing on Trump, the pushback from Trump makes no sense. Why pushback on nothing? Why hire Guiliani to negotiate conditions for an interview. What Trump wants is to control the interview. He doesn't get to do that.

As far as your charge that Muller has failed to find evidence based on what is in public now, I'd urge you to practice patience. Most of what Mueller has investigated is not known to the public. The only things made public from the Mueller investigation is court record releases, as people have been charged or sentenced.

Someone is dirty, but I don't think it's Rosenstein.

Rosenstein may have to recuse himself, if Mueller needs him as a witness, but since others can be called to testify to the same things Rosenstein knows, he'll probably avoid recusal. Rosenstein isn't going to resign or retire, and allow Trump to name a sycophant in his place, that will do as Trump says regardless of the law. So, that pretty much leaves Rosenstein being fired, if there is a change in his status. Lindsay Graham and other Republicans have already told Trump doing so will lead to the end of his Presidency.

You could be right. Trump may fire Rosenstein, but he knows what will happen if he does, and I don't believe Trump will willingly give up power. If he was willing to take a chance that Congress wouldn't impeach, he'd already have done it.

Rosenstein wrote the letter of determination why Comey should be fired. Rosenstein is a fact witness and if the thrust is obstruction then that is not a legal charge anyway since it is within the President's power to fire Comey for any reason or no reason at all. The Special Council is not a prosecutor for Impeachment proceedings so I doubt you will see a charge like that.

Trump won’t fire him but a conflict that will cause him to resign/ vacate/ recuse as deputy AG is looming. Trump has already named his successor by means of his 23rd executive order. You can find this on Wikipedia. The first in line of succession is in an acting role and not eligible. therefore you need to go to the next. They aren’t named by name, but by district/area. Take a look. This doesn’t even need to be approved by congress. Through the vacancies act, trump can appoint a deputy AG for a period not to exceed 210 days. And you think this guy is an idiot. He is a builder, he has his vision in mind, and plans for completion before he even breaks ground. I am in the building industry myself and recognize his methods. A seasoned developer/ builder has a solution before the problem arises.
