Really? Then why weren't they "protecting" the campaign that actually SOUGHT OUT, and PAID FOR, contact with the Russians, by SPYING ON THEM ?

But the campaign that SOUGHT OUT, and PAID MILLIONS FOR RUSSIAN CONTACT, didn't the same "need protection".

Right. Save the silly nonsense for your fellow Koolaid drunk Sorosians...

And just as we all knew, this wasn’t about oversight but about trying to tip off trumps lawyers about the evidence....
Which is why trumps lawyer was also at the briefing!

Having two different meetings was stupid, but I'm glad more people actually went for transparency purposes. It still makes no sense to me that Kelly went. He had no business there. Then I also heard Trump's lawyer, Emmet Flood, went, and left with Kelly after about 20 minutes. Neither of them should have been there. If the purpose of the meeting was to view classified information as oversight, Kelly and Flood being there was totally inappropriate.

We haven't heard anything from Nunes, so there's obviously no smoking gun, as most knew before this meeting was ever scheduled. It's "Obama tapped my phones, part deux" and another distraction of Kabuki theater and palace intrigue.

Really, we haven't heard anything today?? I'm stunned... I was playing golf from 1 until just now, so I didn't hear any outcomes from these meetings.... I know nobody wants to talk to Nunes on camera, but nothing from good old Adam Schiff?? No details, but I assume somebody should be willing to summarize the flow and tone of these meetings... I sort of thought this would be the evening buzz...

Oh, about an hour ago Schiff tweeted… "Nothing we heard today has changed our view that there is no evidence to support any allegation that the FBI or any intelligence agency placed a “spy” in the Trump Campaign, or otherwise failed to follow appropriate procedures and protocols."

and then this…"Emmet Flood’s presence and statement at the outset of both meetings today was completely inappropriate, and I told him so. It only underscores what Rudy Giuliani said: the President’s legal team expects to improperly obtain and use such information for their defense."

I think the evening buzz may be about Roger Stone and emails he didn't turn over to Congressional investigators, but the WSJ now has, saying..."Please ask Assange for any State or HRC e-mail from August 10 to August 30," dated September 18, 2016. OR, that might wait for Friday.

I understand Flood and Kelly left before the actual classified data came out, so there's that at least...

    Warner tweeted the same thing...

For the record, the President’s Chief of Staff and his attorney in an ongoing criminal investigation into the President’s campaign have no business showing up to a classified intelligence briefing.

Stone can wait until Friday.... 2 bogus meetings and a cancelled summit is enough for 1 day in Trump world.... I hope this means "spygate" will be replaced with "dumbassgate"

Didn't take long for "leaks like a Schiff" to start in doing just that, huh?

I notice NO ONE cares to address THIS, very pertinent point:

On 'lying to the FBI'(and/or Manafort's separate bank case, which is totally devoid from the issue.) One thing I wish the Left would stop doing is trying to inflate Mueller's score. It makes him look more pathetic than he already is.

As far as Schiff's leaks, he's the same person who tried to justify what we know about the FISA violations. So I'd have to assume he's an honest individual, which I don't. And no, it's not that I assume Trump is an honest individual either. Rather, I want an official report on this meeting(should it become available) and whatever OIG/or DAG announcements that follow.

Yes, even DAG because for as much of a weasel as Rod Rosenstein is, anything he reveals we can be sure will lead to the truth of the matter. It's lamentable that someone in a public position can be held skeptically on whether he'd actually be candid to the American Public, but that's the misery of his conduct.

Leaks? Since Democrats are involved, the leaks were orchestrated before any of the meetings. Having the meetings was just to include Republicans so the leakers would have some cover.

On matters absolutely unrelated to the campaign. Why was Trump campaign infiltrated by spies again?

Your answer is incorrect. After 2 years - no wrongdoing, no indictments of anyone in the campaign even remotely related to Russia. You get a "F".

Feel free to try again though, call a friend if you must. Why was Trump campaign infested with spies?

The Department of Justice walks a fine line between the executive branch and the judicial branch, while technically being under the executive branch. They are supposed to be treated as independent, because of that, especially when investigating people in the executive branch.

Despite all that, the meeting was a FBI classified information briefing for Congressional oversight/intelligence purposes. Neither John Kelly, nor Emmet Flood are members of Congressional oversight/intelligence committees. Emmet Flood's name was no where on the official list of attendees, and Kelly was named as the organizer of the meeting that was not going to be in attendance, yet there he was. It was entirely inappropriate for either to be there. Trump shouldn't have sent them. They should have declined to go, even if Trump told them to go. The Congressional leaders should have asked them to leave as soon as they showed up.

When Guiliani weighed in that the President's legal team wanted to see how the briefing went and how much they learned, because it might shorten the process, the real reason Flood and Kelly were there was exposed. The President's legal team is not entitled to know what happened in a classified oversight briefing for Congress. The President hasn't been charged. He only gets evidentiary information and discovery, after he is charged with a crime.

What did he leak? Nothing. There was nothing to leak. There was no embedded spy.

There was COVERT SURVEILLANCE, by HUMAN ASSETS, seeking incriminating evidence.

Playing the silly leftist word game, doesn't change the fact that the Obama Swamp got caught USING SPIES on the Trump campaign...with ZERO legal justification.

The meeting was supposed to be CLASSIFED, but the Nazi-collaborator- Soros' RELATIVE cannot keep his traitorous mouth shut.

This picture does tell the story, doesn't it? Time to get the evidence to prove it - and prosecute.

Protected from what?? Performing potentially acts of sedetion?? No allegations of such, so the answer is no.
