The point is that the language used is inflammatory. California is not regulating any other state. If it's regulations have an impact on other states, that because of a business decision made by the auto industry, not any legal requirements.

Well regulate, and create in state laws that negatively impact it

    SNIP
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said the investigation “seeks to weaponize law enforcement for partisan political purposes to advance the Trump administration’s toxic special interest agenda.”
    ENDSNIP

    Let's analyze

seeks to weaponize law enforcement - Check
for partisan political purposes - Check
to advance the Trump administration’s toxic special interest agenda - Check

Nobody takes seriously the William Barr DOJ.... I would put more faith in a team of Inspector Clouseau and the kids from Scooby Doo....

You can't build the impossible just because government says you can. Or if you can the cost would be so high nobody would buy the product.

Any rebuttal that starts out with "Nancy Pelosi says" is obviously just going to go downhill from there and this post is a perfect example of that.
