Kavanaugh should not be confirmed but, not because of Ford

The number of votes needed for confirmation has been reduced from 60 (overwhelming majority) to 50 (Simple Majority).

This is an anathema to the founding principle on which this nation was founded. It is totalitarianism.

In both Classical Liberalism and Republicanism - Simple Majority Mandate - 50+1 - is defined as "Tyranny of the Majority".

This was the whole point of the 60 vote threshold.

Who gave these clowns the right to change our system from a Constitutional Republic to a Pure Democracy ?

Gov't is not supposed to make any law that messes with individual liberty unless it has overwhelming majority support - 2/3rds at minimum.

A Supreme Court Justice is not elected and the term is life. The agenda/perspective/ of this person on law should be acceptable to at least 60% of the Senate.

This was not possible on the basis of the actions of one individual. This is thanks to the "Establishment" which consists of both red and blue - and the natural tendency of Gov't to increase its own power.

This is about "Limited Gov't Power" in the most profound sense of the word. This is about one of biggest safeguards against abuse of Gov't power being removed.

This is about the Establishment - putting like minded people - people with the same evil agenda - which is to trash essential liberty - putting people that share this agenda onto the highest court in the land for life.
