And both parties are against any changes to Healthcare, tax reform, and immigration change. Trump has met the establishment and they are all doing to undermine him. It is time for the people to convince their own states to join in the call for a amendment to invoke Article V of the Constitution of the states to consider amendments to the Constitution.

The CBO stated that Obama Care can be fixed. It is the law, and all these gyrations by to deny Obama any success is an
example of Trump's instability and jealousy. The millions of dollars and time spent on this fiasco is shameful. Obviously Trump could care less. He could have spent his time pushing his tax reduction package for the wealthy at the expense of the working and middle class.
Now he is willing to punish the poor by letting it die. Nice guy.

Why replace it when it can be fixed?

Amendments are great. This course of action is viable, provided this action, the Real draining of the D.C. Swamp - that only the Electorate can provide - follows close behind.

Do you really believe the Republican Party is 100% behind Trump? He was sold a bill a good by the Republicans who had in the past sent Repeal bills for the last seven years and told they would be able to do the same for him. Trump told them he would sign a bill like that or anything that both houses could agree on. Up steps the establishment Republican Swamp Monsters and they are not going to let that happen. (Follow the money) Trump does not make law.

Right. You have a Republican President, House and Senate and "trump will not have any fingers on it". That's pretty funny.

How can he? Obama Care is still the law. No changes have been made. Democrats wanted to keep Obama Care and they have been granted their wish. Not one Republican ever voted for Obamacare.

All this observation verifies, is the total disregard BOTH parties have for the American People.

It will never, ever be "fixed." It is a bad bill. We need to end "insurance" and simply use the taxed amounts to pay for universal healthcare - ostentatious "responsibility legislators" be damned.

Democrats haven't done any thing except stand in the wings and watch. trump's big promise was to repeal and replace Obama care. He was so confident he could accomplish this he felt he didn't need the Democrats and they were never asked to participate in the new plan. He got his 'gang' together behind locked doors and put together their plan and it's blown up in their faces. It looks now like the republicans might think it's a good idea to ask the Democrats to 'come on over' and work out the plan with them.

    That's how it can be!

Your spin is so leftist. Since when does the CBO offer advice on how to repair bills? Did I not hear that NO DEMOCRAT would vote for the present bill? Remember the Democrats did not want any changes to Obama Care. Well I guess the Republicans also have three people who want to keep Obama Care as it is. A bi-partisan victory for the Democrats. Everybody wants to stand their ground. Trump is only the executive branch and carry's out the wishes of the Congress. The Establishment has won for now. As a Trumpster I am not happy but in away glad as it exposes the real rats in D.C.

I don't see how that could possibly work. Hopefully Trump learns some lessons that the "SWAMP is part of his party and his white house". I think Trump has the right idea and let Obama Care fail and then maybe the parties can work it out.

Universal healthcare is my choice, also. Can't Medicare play a role in this?

It cannot ne fixed because it utilizes insurance companies for medical care which is the whole problem in the first place. Insurance is like privatized socialism in that it doesnt work well with capitalism.

Nonsense. I don't remember Democrats not wanting changes to Obama Care. Actually they are in favor of fixing Obama Care, and have been right along. My spin as a Republican is that of a realist who wants fairness. Trump is in the background trying to influence the Congress.

Let the government fail, and make people suffer, then blame someone else for it while you are in command?

    Brilliant!

    You mean moderate Dems right?

It's less than unlikely that the more Liberal-minded Dems will work on anything with anyone who doesn't hold their ideological POV.

    it can be fixed:

    a. let folks 55+ buy into Medicare.

    b. guarantee cost sharing through 2025

    c. make the plans more gender specific (men don't need birth control, pre-natal care, pap smeres, mammograms) (women dont need prostate checks)

    c. negotiate drug costs

    d. lawsuit reform

Truthfully entrenched Establishment Republicans and Democrats, big money lobbyist's and certain entrenched Health Care Industry types will never let this bill pass. I think Trump is calling their bluff. He has now met the "SWAMP" and it's all around him. Unfortunately I don't have a Republican I can vote against.
