Ask them if they’re ok with it as adults and most will say yes. I guess you they can get a foreskin transplant (tongue in cheek)

No no, this is done without consent of the male. It is an assault and a mutilation, pure and simple.

This is why I have a really hard time supporting women's issues these days. Women have a total double standard and won't admit it. If a woman isn't a victim but a man is, women could care less.

If you don't give a damn about men, don't expect men to support your causes.

You are correct, I don’t have that much knowledge .....I don’t believe in the supernatural and I cannot suspend all logical thinking.
I’m sure Jesus walked on water and healed the sick. I assume you believe in faith healers. And turning wine I to water? All those magicians on tv must be holy men.

So now male circumcision is a reason for you not to support women’s issues? Since when was that a woman’s issue? I imagine if men who were circumcised were unhappy about it they would be the one starting a movement. But it’s easy to blame women. What have you done about it? Obviously that’s a not a very serious concern for women so I suggest perhaps you take up the cause and be an activist rather than look for any excuse to not support women’s real issues

False equivalence. Christianity doesn't deify rape or genital mutilation. Islam does both. We can discuss this also elsewhere.

Exactly, and it shows. So why continue to opine on the subject when you lack basic religious understanding?

You seem intent on making a theological issue a political one, and then arguing from a political standpoint.

I am sure you are not aware that your ilk is trying to impose your religion on those of us who don’t believe in the supernatural. I am sure you believe that Judge Moore was God’s choice after all he said that. I find religion totally divisive and you’re proof of that. You like to cite the Koran as being evil but then make excuses for your book. It sounds like my religion can beat up your religion and my religion is better than your religion.

Really? There are millions of Muslims in this country and they don’t deify FGM. Just another excuse to be an islamophobe

Is it me or are we agreeing in principle the whole mutilating minor children is wrong? :hiding:

Seriously I get its 'easier' if its male circumcision and since its hardly as brutal as female circumcision it gets more of a pass but the principle is the same doing a un-needed surgical procedure based on faith and/or custom on a minor child based on the parents and cultural wishes.

The principle is not the same. Male circumcision is done routinely in hospitals as well as religiously , for health reasons. Female circumcision is strictly so women do not get sexual pleasure. Circumcised makes I know seem to get off just fine :)

It is not necessary the health reasons are remotely and minimally beneficial and even if religious is abuse, and what if there is an accident its rare but some boys end up losing their penis to botched procedures and no natural penis tends to harm sexual pleasure even if reconstruction is done. And having a foreskin enhances sexual pleasure in men when they become sexually active since the head of the penis is protected but must be kept clean so there is that. And female procedures have also no real value the only big issues you covered and its traumatic.

Anyway how do you know about owning a penis. :aww:

So let’s not give kids penicillin because some kids have bad reaction, ..your strawman is plain silly as a defense.
That is not true about the foreskin giving more pleasure.. there are articles supporting both sides. I have seen studies saying that women get more pleasure from a circumcised penis.
I don’t know about owning a penis but I know what it feels like to be penetrated by one. Are you going to tell me what gives a woman more pleasure? Do you own a vagina?

Tangential, off topic political rant. You've never studied the bible or the Quran, this your argument is wholly false and motivated by political egalitarianism and religious relativism.

I already explained why you're wrong.

It's either obligatory or recommended depending on your Madhab. Your off the cuff rationalizations aren't a substitute for a coherent theological argument to back up your political views.

I’ll let you believe we have a FGM problem here so you justify bigotry

Qualify that accurately citing religious doctrine is bigotry. Again, you keep masking political arguments as theological ones.

We do have an FGM problem here and it's directly related to immigration policy.

What are your attacks against Christians here if not bigotry? You've admitted you never studied the faith to know it's doctrines, yet you spew poison anyway.

Religious doctrine isn't political. Throwing political labels like bigot to silence discussion on religious doctrine is making it political.

That’s funny...bigot is a political term? No it is a term that defines a prejudiced person

There it is those Muslims...bringing FGM here...I remember the same rhetoric about Jews now where was that again? ....yep it’s those Immigrants. ..Be afraid, be afraid, be afraid,,,the bogeyman is coming!
I don’t blame Christians collectively. We have a problem with white nationalist Christians. But I would not define Christians as being a problem because of a few

Prejudice is based on pre-judging. Since my views of both faiths came after I studied them - not before, unlike yourself - my views by definition are not prejudiced.

I think what you mean is that nobody is allowed to have a negative view of Islamic doctrine because it offends the views of both Muslims and egalitarian secular liberals, specifically if Christianity isn't equally disliked.

And that standard is absolutely political.

Again, you make it political and try to take up for Muslims by deflecting to other faiths.

Judaism doesn't teach FGM and Christianity doesn't teach "white nationalism."

You're conflating Islamic Law and the behavior of individuals in non-compliance with the teaching of their claimed faiths is a common deflective non sequitur.

People with your views are definitely guilty of pre-judging all Muslims and
Overgeneralizing. It’s so interesting how Christians get all of atwit When they think their religion is being attacked but yet they have no problem attacking another religion and singling out extremism. They especially don’t like when you point out how Christians partook in the extermination of millions because they weren’t christians
