    Thanks...tough question.

I guessed Graf Spee because a) it is a favorite of mine and b) I know they fairly recently started salvaging some parts from it.

Name the aircraft that never made it to production but had a rotating vertical tail - it was supposed to be the replacement for a very famous aircraft?

I guess it is still my turn...

which tank weighted almost 4 times as much in it's final(?) variant as it did when it was first produced?

And well over 1,000 of this tank (all variants) were produced - btw.

This one was not asked in the other forum, so...

which tank weighted almost 4 times as much in it's final(?) variant as it did when it was first produced?

And well over 1,000 of this tank (all variants) were produced - btw.

    Got me stumped.

Do you mean the same model?

Example would be if say a Panther G weighed 4 times more than a D? Or are you saying variant as a Panzerkampfwagen I compared to a Panzerkampfwagen VI?

    The same model.

The answer is the Panzer Mark I.

The 'A' 'variant' weighed about 5.5 tonnes.

The 'F' 'variant' weighed about 20 tonnes.

The ARA General Belgrano. She was formerly the USS Phoenix, a light cruiser, and served in WWII. She was sunk by HRS Conqueror during the Falklands War. She has the distinction of being the only active service warship ever sunk in anger by a nuclear submarine.

Which US officer who served from the end of WW1 later became a mercenary for a foreign government before rejoining the US military in 1942?

    This is the next question:

What was the "Land Mattress" and the names of two similar weapons fielded by other countries.

It's a multi-barreled rocket launcher. The German version was the Nebelwerfer and the Russian version was the Katyusha.
