    Well the 18" thing was some random bit I remember from when the Musashi was attacked- I used to read tons of this stuff- not so much anymore but I remember bits of pieces. That one I legitimately knew- but not my brain was prodded some. I will think of a question shortly.

    About the japanese AA ammo and system... What strategy or device did the japanese navy used to coordinate and control their AA fire from multi ships during an attack?

    Nope... They used color pigment in their ammo. Each ship had a different color so as to be able to determine which ship was covering which quadrant...

    It made pretty picture....

    Fell out of the ball turret of a B17, without a chute, fell 11ty million feet, crashed through the skylight of a train station and lived to tell the tale.

    Was at St Naza.... however you spell it.

    Yep. I think it was said in the other thread that the P-40 was Australia's most numerous fighter aircraft of WW2.
