Why not have the right to bare arms?
Permits are permission slips, rights are constitutional; I'm all for Brits the right to bare arms.

That's not funny because nothing can make light of the fact that Brits don't have the birth right to own firearms.

You would be required to do a risk assessment prior to discharging one. Our PC world is somewhat incongruous with owning shoot-bangs. Let’s see if our young can come to terms with sharp objects and bottles of acid before we intoduce them to the delights of legally having a nice shinny gun to play with in the park.

I was wondering what PC World had to do with it.
Was thinking a gun is more powerful than a laptop/tablet, do we even have PC World anymore?
Isn't it now Curry's PC World? Whatever happened to Dixons; I saw Best Buy before they came to the UK.
I want shoot bang birth right ownership.

    Birth right!
Applying for a license is like asking for permission to buy a gun.
Birth right, I want a birth right.

So the problem in the UK is the criminals and not the "knife nuts" who own lots of knives but never stabbed anyone?

    Tell me more.

The only reason you would not get a gun license is if you had done something to take away your birth right. Or were considered mentally incompetent.

Oh it might have something to do with the UK telling us "gun violence" in America is due to "gun culture" or something like that.

You do love trying not to agree with me, so not the UK but some people in the UK as I wrote.

    Well clearly both.

The UK, because the UK has made self defense with anything other than a rape whistle and dye illegal. The UK, because they are the ones bringing in violent people into the country. The UK, because they tell their subjects that they can't use weapons, even to save their own lives. Of course, Parliament has plenty of guns.

The people in the UK because they've been conditioned to believe that disarming themselves will prevent a criminal from killing them.

Clearly, we're finding out that murderers have no problem with murdering despite UK law.

True, however... It's not a right, and if we had the right and a system with a background check in place, it'll be better, but as it is; it's you have to ask first...
It's not our right, we have to ask the UK first.

And clearly we are finding that murderers have no problem murdering despite US law. Surely the question any right minded person should be asking is why neither system works?

The way it works in the UK is, you can't wound/beat or shoot anyone in your home or out in public or anywhere else in the UK.
    So....
If we ask for a gun to walk around Angel Town at night with a right to carry, it's not going to work.
UK says it's not allowed and so will deny me a gun and then probably tap my phone for even asking.
If we had the right to bare arms as a birth right and the right to carry.
Might be as safe as New York City in South London and in East London.

Well it's because criminals don't obey the law, and making the law abiding defenseless isn't a logical response to the problem.

No gun control, or in this case knife control, law is going to make a bit of a difference. All it does is give a murderer more victims.

You think those people who frighten you on the estate are going to be less scary when they exercise their birth right to a gun?
