Looking at the riots, looting and burnings in Minn

People in Minn are mad, but there is simply no reason EVER to riot, loot, and burn.

One question that come to mind is the black community for a very long time has demanded respect. So tell me how or why should anyone that riots, loots and burns down buildings receive any respect.

George Floydd wasn't rioting or looting and did not get basic human respect....he just got killed.

 

This is one area I absolutely agree with you on. Destroying your own city town or neighbor hood is NEVER GOING TO SOLVE YOUR PROBLEM only make it worse.

 

What do you suggest they do instead? They've put up with more than their share of injustice. And it's obvious by now nobody is going to help them
and nothing is going to change for them.
What would would you do in if you were in their situation?
What can they do that hasn't already been tried and failed?

 

Rioting and destroying property is not in any way going to help their cause, it hasn't in the past and it won't in the future. They have rioted and looted and burned in the past in various locations like L.A. and in Ferguson Mo. and it didn't help.

 

Go loot the police stations, business owners killed no one.

Rioting and Looting only make things worse, not better. Unfortunately, the mentality of those doing so, isn't at a high enough level to grasp that simple fact. It actually shifts focus away from where it should be. 100% of focus should be on getting justice for the victim and building a case against the former officers. Instead now it's shifting to dealing with a bunch of scumbags stealing, and causing untold damage to others property (who had nothing to do with this crime), and also trying to prevent more people from getting hurt. Really good idea. Seeing as how well it has worked in the past.....

 

You're the BS master I'm sure. This thread is criticizing people for their reaction to not just one murder but years of abuse by police.
How much should people have to put up with before they say "No more". "This is unacceptable".

When you group represents less than 7% of the total population and you’re responsible for 50% of the total murder, you can expect to be dealt with differently.

Uh, people who were looting did get arrested

 

My husband is white but he distrusts the police as fervently as any African-American male. Try looking up "cops gone bad" on youtube. Its pretty shocking what can happen to blacks and whites stopped by a bad cop.

What they can do is not HATE a white race and not hate hardworking business owners and focus on bad cops and appreciate the good ones. These things not just happening to black people.

But you would rather try to make me look uncaring in a very dishonest manner. As for looting, this is the level of "logic" So how about YOU answer the question. Do you think looting is the answer? So I cant be critical of looting AND murder by the police? That's where the BS came into play.

 

Apparently only some black lives matter. Certainly not the lives of the black people that own or work in the stores that have been looted and destroyed.
