Violence begets violence. The best place to start is to break the cycle of violence in your own communities. Looting and rioting isn't going to get that done.

Liberals. Liberal town liberal school. I'm sure those white, pampered kids justified their actions because of some injustice in the world....

I lived there during that incident, and it was the start towards my growth from a "ban guns" ideology towards a "you better have a gun" mentality. The cops are not always available to protect you.

The "do nothing" is a lie. The police get involved when a crime was committed. No crime = no police.

There's going to be less goods and less services readily available now in the black community which entails longer walks and drives to get the goods and services needed for everyday life -- if there's ever a return to everyday life.

idk, the MSM seems to think it is all pretty good and didn't condemn the rioter-looter-arsonists right away to help get a handle on it -- and MSM scarcely has a critical word upon them even after all this violence they perpetrated.

Here we go with the GIVE US MORE FREE STUFF!

Yeah, that'll break the cycle of violence in the black community for sure.

It wasn't on his throat. It was on the side and back of his neck. He also kept lifting his knee slightly to show he was not pressing hard. There were also one or two other officers holding him down. They couldn't be seen because the cruiser was in the way. The M.E. said there was no evidence that his airway was obstructed in any way. He said he died from heart failure because of hypertension and heart disease. There were also drugs in his system. So no, the Police did not murder him. At worst, they were negligent in rendering aid because they did not take his complaints seriously.
Seeing only the one video and before the medical report concluded, I believed that I watched them kill the man. Now I do not believe that.

GEORGE FLOYD DIED AS A RESULT OF POLICE BRUTALITY. Please don't try to insult my intelligence by saying he died from hypertension and heart disease. If Derek Chauvin hadn't put his knee in George Floyd's throat, Mr. Floyd would still be alive.

That's simply a self serving fantasy born of over reaction and ignorance of the facts. BTW, I thought the same thing you do before the fact and after watching only the video in question. However I did not and do not see it as a racial issue. Doesn't matter if Floyd is white, black, brown, etc. He died from heart failure because he had a bad heart, hypertension, and the stress of being arrested for dealing in counterfeit money.

I agree....but racist insist black people kill themselves by using police.....some probably believe Floyd forced the cop to put his knee on his neck and become Judge, Jury and Executioner which is what righties think cops are...

Have no fear, the governor of Minnesota has figured out who's behind all the looting and rioting shenanigans.
It's the Crips and the Bloods in cahoots with the Illinois Nazis.

I swear, these liberal politicians live in the weirdest dreamworlds.

After the autopsy the very worst that the police could be charged with is involuntary man slaughter, if that.

Makes no difference what caused Floyd to die. Someone is going to have to go to jail less the country burns down.

You don't seem to have the facts that have been uncovered. The vandalism, burning, and looting is once again done by anarchists (extreme leftists) and white supremacists (extreme right wingers). Their tactics involve participating in protests with the hope of turning them into a violent rebellion. They have failed for 50 years but that doesn't factor into their calculations

The authorities are aware of the situation with them and have arrested some, but there are just too many to get them all. So I'm confident that if you look into this, you will find plenty of information now.

There's no doubt extreme leftists are involved, and in large numbers to be sure.

    The extreme right wingers claim-

    Yeah, citations and proof needed.

I'm just not buying that distraction and blame shifting attempt without some seriously hard evidence to back it up.

Yeah that's because you haven't looked into it. It's also because you have a heavy bias that stops you from examining certain perspectives.

I did look into it. It's a claim made by a single Democrat governor with no details or evidence given. It looks like a classic and typical leftist attempt to shift blame away from the obvious cause of destruction and mayhem- leftist lunatics, and onto imaginary white supremacists.

If you've got any evidence to prove otherwise, I'd like to see it.

I'll be over here not holding my breath.

Stop voting over and over for the liberal Democrats who run the cities where the injustice is happening. Maybe try that.

So you can look at a video of a police officer with his full weight on his knee on the neck of a black man who hasn't resisted, remaining there for 9 minutes, more than 2 of which the victim was no longer responsive, KNOWING he was killing him as an EMT TOLD the cop he was killing the man, and the cop with his hand casually resting in his pocket, and you can't see any racism there. Everyone else sees intense, vicious, hateful racism which is only possible for an extreme right wing racist but you can't see it. I'm sorry for you.

Indeed; and if it had been a black cop or a BROWN Hispanic cop with his knee on this man's neck then nobody would have said boo whether the man lived or died. Look at the timing of this. For three and a half years the race-riots that were common place under Obama hadn't occurred during Trump's administration. Now the presidential contest is about to get serious and now mysteriously the Left's media outlets deliberatly gin up race riots across this nation.

Your denial is pretty meaningless. The obvious reality is clear to those who don't share your biases.

Bullshit. Like I said, your bias is your problem. See post 219. Jacob listed several articles.

It is doubly stupid to be looting and burning businesses and stores and super markets right now as we already will have thousands of potential employers forced out f business by the shutdown of the pandemic. It is the height of stupidity. Once the pandemic shutdowns are lifted we will already have a gigantic shortage of jobs and this action will just exacerbate the situation.
