    Interesting story about a straight cis white male who brutally beat his wife and child to death:

    So an actual hate crime by a cis straight white man who claims he was justified, perhaps based on his status as such.

    Let's hope the law will apply equally even when the victims are women and children and the attacker is cis/white/straight/male.

    Its probably a good thing this man was presumably given a mental evaluation.

    Are these crimes by cis/straight/white males under reported?

    Will this person get special treatment because he's cis, straight, white and male?

    From the article, the defense sounds rather weak...but more importantly...the Govt is seeking First Degree murder, as they likely should.

    Really. I admit that I didnt read the story, but I don't see what his ethnicity could possibly have to do with the fact that he is a heartless demon who murdered his own wife and child. Not everything is based on politics.

    I beg to differ! I am a registered Democrat and my political beliefs lean left and I don't have any hatred for anyone, nor do I have prejudices or bigotries toward anyone. Be careful painting large groups of people with a broad brush, as you will always be proven wrong when you do as well as proving yourself guilty of the bigotries/ racism that you are accusing others of harboring.

    imo the "what did he do" is going to be much more important than the "who is he by arbitrary classification group" at the trial -- as it always should be -- an individual on trial for acts.

    If his 68-year-old mother testifies that he hit her with an aluminum bat also, of if there is medical evidence for that, he's not getting past the jury no way no how.
