Cyber attacks on meat plants have little to nothing to do with digital currency. In fact, using computers to attack facilities would be a strong argument against a digital currency because it relies on the internet. I would rate the probability of a government using this method to induce a crisis that somehow leads to digital currency as vanishingly small. In truth, I don't see how food insecurity would lead to digital currency at all. It might lead to a price rise which would then lead to inflation I guess, but it wouldn't matter whether the money was paper or electronic. The media used would not change the value. It would still all be fiat money - essentially a promise by the government that it's worth something.

If this truly bothers you, invest in real estate; they're not making any more of it. Meantime, a dollar is a dollar whether it's folded up in your wallet or a bunch of electrons spinning around in a computer somewhere.

 

It would be wonderful if we lived in a world where your opinion on all this was correct but.....
I believe that there are influential people who still want to crack the whip and humble the commoners......

This article contains several errors of fact. For instance The US declared war on England in the War of 1812, not the other way around. It also contains errors of logic. How could Greenbacks be destroyed when they came back to the Treasury in payment of taxes when the article specifically states they couldn't be used to pay taxes?

Actually.... what I am thinking is that we are in the worst mess that the world has been in since the 1930's in many ways.......
I suspect that China is going all out with their version of the Economic aspect of WWIII, they want to take over... . and they have moved far, far, far, far too quickly.......
