Ha! Couldn't resist eh? Answer my question then my fine inexperienced MJ opponent: your highest level of education is??? Your profession is??? Riddle me this Batman, show me a study you say like a broken record. Expand the discussion or don't. You wanna fixate on me calling out your lame ass original post. Stay there then.

    See post #151.
I am a retired aerospace engineer and Air Force officer. Not that has anything to do with anything.
You made claims about mj. Just show me links to reputable studies which support it.

Apologies, I missed #151. And, no Sir, I never stated in this thread to proclaim my opinions are backed by, hmmm, how does it go? Lies, damned lies and Statistics. Thanks for finally responding with a bit of your back ground and thanks for your service. I really have enjoyed this rant, a lot of it with you on this thread. However, you have quoted a report from an obviously biased source. It's a bit like you're on the side of the TWA flight 800 denier team. As I said, maybe I could have been a Nobel Laureate, but I'm a far cry from having been permanently brain damaged - as you asserted here several times in a generic blanket statement.

There are numerous reports out there supporting my claim. All you have to do is google. You have not come up with a single one supporting yours.

So in other words you don't have a link to any universally accepted medical research that supports your claim(s). When making a claim, the burden of proof always rests with the claimant. It's not up to me to try to prove YOUR claim correct or incorrect. As I already noted for YOU, there was never any reason for me to do any such research, never mind research YOUR claim as my life experience with many marijuana users over a half century or more never included any who have suffered brain damage or any other detrimental physical conditions as a result of usage.

I provided one. If you will google "effects of marijuana on young people" you will find hundreds more. There are a number of studies using brain scans where the changes never go away.

Show me a single link showing it is a good idea.

Google this then, "articles in favor of marijuana" And it's just a bit silly us two going at it, at this point. However, did I also miss your response to this?

Hmmm, I do need a dip, and a glass of Glenlivet, don't smoke weed much anymore, but I'll maybe have to hit up a neighbor in honor of this conversation.....

    Here's to your opinion, cheers....

Umm, no. Marijuana has more medical benefits than it does cons. Epilepsy, depression, arthritis, bipolar disorder, insomnia, bone painIt's an excellent form of tax revenue for the states, thus going back into education and infrastructure. The tax revenue, on top of restoring power to the people and medical benefits, is the reason I fully support legalizing ketamine and amphetamines. Keeping this stuff illegal hurts us more than it does benefitting us.

I tried to make my googles neutral so that their would be no built in bias.

I have provided a link. There are numerous others similar to that one. I have yet to find one which says it is a good ideal for youths and you have failed to provide one in spite of your claims.

thanks for admitting that is the real issue with marijuana where it's illegal, prohibition harms more lives than the drugs themselves

I posted one. Apparently it was not good enough. Have you googled "effects of marijuana on young people"? There are literally hundreds of studies. Show me a study that says it is a good idea for young people to use marijuana. Just one compared to hundreds.

    Try this one:
"Negative effects on school and social life
Marijuana use in adolescence or early adulthood can have a serious impact on a teen’s life.

    • Decline in school performance. Students who smoke marijuana may get lower grades and may more likely to drop out of high school than their peers who do not use.4
    • Increased risk of mental health issues. Marijuana use has been linked to a range of mental health problems in teens such as depression or anxiety.5 Psychosis has also been seen in teens at higher risk like those with a family history.6
    • Impaired driving. Driving while impaired by any substance, including marijuana, is dangerous. Marijuana negatively affects a number of skills required for safe driving, such as reaction time, coordination, and concentration.7, 8
    • Potential for addiction.a Research shows that about 1 in 6 teens who repeatedly use marijuana can become addicted, which means that they may make unsuccessful efforts to quit using marijuana or may give up important activities with friends and family in favor of using marijuana."

Legalization of prostitution would be be a great benefit to prostitutes and the men who use them. You will never stop it, but you could make it safer for those that are involved in it. Take it out of cars and simply have brothels were women are regularly tested and safe from pimps and predators. How is it any different then take easy women out on a date who will havesex with you for a fun night on the town.

That is false, you haven't provided any link to what I requested. Asking me to use Google or do the research does not support your claim(s) that in my personal experience has zero merit.

    1. It's irrelevant to YOUR claim.

    2. I never made any claims that it was a good or bad idea so I don't need to show you anything of the sort. Having said that, I will say that most marijuana users would tell you it's a great idea. And for some who need it to treat a medical condition, their personal accounts claim it's also not only a great idea but in some cases a life changing great idea. Perhaps you should research that if you're really interested in the effects of marijuana. That certainly does not mean it's a good idea for everyone and likely it may be a bad idea for some.

    3. The absolute worst idea is making marijuana illegal. The documentation on that is also quite extensive if you care to do the research.
