Coal is on the way out. The trend is as inevitable as renewables growth is.

Obamacare (in your words)"crashed and burned" because of Republicans. Their hands are very dirty and people know it......that's why they couldn't get rid of it. Crash and burn is all Republicans do, it's their move.
Governing......not so much. If they don't have anything to repeal, they can't do anything.

Still whining that you folks lost in 2016, I see. Trump's economy under the Republican House and Senate was better than any time in Obama's failed presidency, talk about a party and guy that couldn't govern...

No, I'm not whining, but I am sad about it.
Trump's economy? What a joke. Tell you what, I'll give the economy to you today. From today on it's Trumps economy. You can have it.

THE NEW DEAL ISN’T GREEN, IT’S RED: There’s only one word to describe the economic aspects of the Green New Steal, and that word is communism.

Explained in a little more detail here as each of the touted benefits of the scheme is examined.

It's absolutely inevitable as coal is a finite resource. We will more then likely migrate to a cleaner resource such as Helium 3 once we have the resources to mine it appropriately.

And you (even though from the EIA) is not truly representative of our current consumption as nuclear only accounts for 8.4% of our nations consumption.

My point being that in order to change out from Coal or any other CO2 producing energy source (even renewable is a source of CO2) would nearly be impossible in a decade. We are talking about several decades to redefine our energy needs.

I see conflation has the better of you. The transition to a new energy paradigm is one thing. Public infrastructure is a tad different.
I see you haven't bothered to read the document. That or you are just being deliberately intellectually disingenuous.

And nobody has imposed such a nonsensical objective. It ain't in the deal period.

There is no reason to believe that.

But it is pathetic to see these flat earth right wing Republicans shout the same tired old lines that I heard way back in the 1960's, when pollutions controls were first introduced.

Watching flat earthers like Tucker Carlson and Tom Cotton yell that if we go to alternative energy everyone will be shiving in the cold in sack cloth and ashes, is pathetic.

We've been hearing the same BS from the fossil fuel patch for half a century,

Mellenials see these right wingers spounting this, and they see a bunch of old white guys who are afraid of the future and dreaming about the same imaginary past TRump peddles.

All this noise plays very well in Fox land, and the talk radio screamers are no doubt ginning it up the the max.

But outside that narrow alternative world, the major proposals of the Green New Deal have broad support. and most people see renewable energy and universal health care as good things.

So, McConnell can schedule his vote. Sham Hammity and Lush Limpballs and bellow and make ridiculous claims.

And in thirty years, the US will either be a large second rate country, or people will be quoting Hammity and Limbaugh and laughing at how backward and superstitious they sounded back in the day,

Get them all on record agreeing to paint themselves as complete lunatics. Force them to vote or back out or admit they are INSANE. And for anyone who thinks its a good idea, lets hear them defend whats in it. Its laughable.

I'm not the one who can't click on a link. But someone would have to have been born yesterday to swallow her excuses. I mean, come on -

I mean, you really, REALLY believe that excuse? That's right up there with the dog eating her homework. That was indeed her plan that she posted on her site. She only started with the excuses once the world realized that the Empress had no clothes and pulled it down out of embarrassment. Anyone who fell for that line likely also bought tickets to the Fyre Festival.

When you can separate yourself from your extreme partisanship, you might actually allow yourself to learn some facts about the issues you think you are concerned with.

Road map? Pull your head out of Vox, ThinkProgress and Rachel Maddow's coochie and you might actually see what it is.

Your team is fond of placing crushing regulations on the people and industry, and providing no coherent strategy to make that a benefit to the Nation.

First of all, it does demonstrate my point about how ridiculous the talk radio right, floating idiotic scare stories about a totally made BS line about ending air travel. This is parochial fearmongering at its most idiotic level.

And Ocasio Cortez probably took the train.

She probably took the subway, transferred to Penn Station (depending on which train she took) and rode the Acela or the Northeast Regional into Union Station in DC.

    Hope that helps.

Years from now, people will be looking back and laughing at idiotic claims like the fear line about shutting down air travel. People will wonder how anyone could have been so stupid as to fall for a bs claim like that.

Outside the US, Fox News segments are played for laughs.

Throwaway claims. The usual talk radio stereotypes.

And no decent American would wrap themselves in "the Nation" when they are cheering for a corrupt, weak, wannabe dicator.

That's about as clear a betrayal of the Constitution and of the idea of America as you can get.

    LOL

    Morning Tom.

Talk about throwaway claims. Couldn't help yourself?

So tell me, in the area of Solar Panels, other than flushing taxpayer money down the toilet, what did the Obama Administration do to insure other Nations wouldn't drown the US in cheap product when they initiated an avalanche of energy regulations and other mandates via programs like the EPA's Environmental Justice initiative?

Even the missquoted blog doesn't call for ending airplanes or cow farts as claimed on this forum . And posters pretending that the blog was the resolution is even more dishonest.

Hitting yourself on the head isn't going to make you any smarter. Here is what the Resolution actually says:

    (H) overhauling transportation systems in the United States to remove pollution and greenhouse gas emissions from the transportation sector as much as is technologically feasible, including through investment in—

    (i) zero-emission vehicle infrastructure and manufacturing;

(ii) clean, affordable, and accessible public transit; and

    (iii) high-speed rail;

I don't inderstand why you need to make things up but I am grateful for the opportunity to provide for your education.

Wow, the right wing hypocracy runs strong!

For years, you right wing talk radio types yelled Solyndra (even though Bush was racing to hand the money out before Obama became President), simply because you had a shiny object to rant about.

And you studiously ignored the fact that the only reason Solyndra failed was because the Chinese flooded the market, something most of your ilk wouldn't even acknowledge.

Now, you're yelling out of the other side of your mouth!

What "avalanche" of regulations would that be? Take your time.

I love how McConnell could barely contain his amusement when he made the announcement. This is going to be hilarious.

I suspect a lot of Dims are going to suddenly come down with the flu on that day...
