My theory was that if you had Michael Moore having a website hosting the OWS movement and on his website he had a hit list of Senators and congresspeople to take out as political enemies, complete with gunsight crosshairs pasted over their homes on a map and a complete list naming them all below that map...and had been publicly promoting "second amendment remedies" for people to use to solve their political grumblings...also reminding them that their cause was for "freedom" and telling them that "the road to freedom sometimes has to be paved with the blood of patriots".....you'd have a very different situation on your hands with the OWS crowd..

you know, if after all that they showed up to rallies wearing loaded sidearms.

Now this is just a guess mind you...but I'd GUESS that police would handle the OWS crowd differently. Maybe because they didn't have as nice of clothes or expensive haircuts as the armed *********s?

Loughner's friends said he had major problems with "the government". He stalked Congressperson Gabby Giffords, a democrat promoting universal healthcare vigorously, and finally shot her in the head.

Metaphorically Loughner shot a democrat promoting universal healthcare vigorously, in order to express what he didn't like about government. Ergo, he didn't like representatives that were either A. democrats and/or B. Promoting universal healthcare. Either way that puts him squarly at the right of center.
