I have no opposition, on principle, to the death penalty.

That said, I truly believe that life without the possibility of parole is a much harsher sentence. (The death penalty is over in just a few minutes; but life without parole lasts...well, it lasts for an entire lifetime.)

I do not believe in the death sentence as that is a get out of jail free card, I believe people shoudl do their punishment while on earth, so I support LWOP

It does, but at tax payer expense. I have toured a number of different facilities and spoke with the wardens. On a nice spring day, the inmates would be out in the yard lifting weights, playing ball or just lounging around. Some that wanted to work did it for a little extra money but mainly to have something to do out of their cells. It wasn't like any of them were doing hard labor. It is not a life most would want but it certainly looked to be a better option than living on the streets. These were medium/max and max security facilities too.

Don't think of it from the inmates perspective. Think of it as a need to take out the garbage. The appeals process is way too long too. By the time they euthanize them they are out of their minds from being in segregation too long anyway.

nope, it costs the tax payers way more and it's less of a punishment and if the government is wrong, it can not be undone, that is state sanctioned murder

    lwop is the best option

but again, we are only talking about people that have served theri sentance, debt paid in full, they have the right to free speech, freedom of religion and freedom to vote and own a gun

now, if one wants to make these privileges like driving a car, then we can talk, otherwise they should be treated like the rights they are

when you turn rights into privileges... they are no longer rights
