I am only telling you what I experienced growing up in the 50s. I can still remember the names of the only two girls in school who would put out. And that kinda word got around fast for teenage boys. And since I attended the same school for 12 years, and it was a small public school, we all knew who was getting some and who was not. This was similar all across the south, and anyone in my age group would tell you the same thing, at least if you grew up in rural areas. I cannot know how it was in big cities. And so, me, and everyone I knew except a couple guys were virgins when they got married. As were the girls they married. That is one reason I was shocked to find out years ago, that kids were having sex at age 13 here where I live. And it was prolific. Thanks liberals!!! You corrupted the youth of this nation with your sexual immorality. But I know when it really took off, which was in the free love era of the late 60s. I was already married at the time when the sexual mores changed in a big way.

This is not to say no teens ever had sex when I was growing up. The trashy girls would put out, and there were boys who didn't mind the trash, they just wanted the experience.

 

I remember just trying to get a "feel" when I was a teen, dating many different girls. They would not even allow me to get to first base. The boys had no problem with sex, if they could get it, and only a few did, but the girls kept us straight. Probably a good thing as the only BC was rubbers. I would not get in line to take out the couple girls who would put out, for I saw them as being used. I know, so backward these days, but it was the way I felt at the time.

You tell people this today and they think you are lying. For they think the current morality has always been such as it is today.

Yes, mine got married at 14. But no sex before marriage. My grandpa born in the 1800s and my dad born in the 20s all told me getting some tail in their day was just like it was when I was growing up. At least here in the south. It had much to do with religion. And unwed mothers were looked down upon. I remember a girl named Patsy getting knocked up when I was 17, she was in my class, and she just vanished from school. No one knew what happened to her until we eventually found out she was sent off somewhere to have the baby. It was really embarrassing to parents back then to have their daughter get pregnant outside of marriage.

If you got pregnant in my youth, or in my dad's or grandpa's day, you were white trash. No respectable family wanted to be called white trash.
