I get what you are saying. In retrospect the word "Ape" was pretty stupid. With that said, I believe the word "Racist" is used much more then it should be. The word is thrown out so much these days that it's meaning gets drastically misunderstood and diluted. Even so, I hear ya.

To me Racial comments are anything that would hurt another person in the cultural context or rather cultural gap between those communicating. The term "**********" would not be offensive to you or I or most African Americans but might enrage someone from the Middle East. Within a cultural group such terms can be used and often are in a light hearted way. The difference is in how that term has been used historically with the people it targets. This is why the word (*)(*)(*)(*)(*)(*) means very little here but Abo is a nasty term which is never used

If it is racism, I think you have to call it that.

In this case, it was also an example of the Trump view of women in general - which is also not acceptable.

Not necessarily. Although you do have to be careful how this is discussed. The reason there is so much sensitivity around this is because of the racial profiling that happened in the 50 s. And that would have faded were it not for the fact that white supremacists are still to this day trying to convince people that the white racie is superior because of bigger brains, better eyesight and prettier hair

White supremacists. Yeeeerrrrk! If the only thing that makes you feel good about yourself is that you were born to a particular group then get serious and start working on an achievement you can be proud of instead

I am only using the correct definition of the word:

    rac·ist
    ˈrāsəst/
    noun
    1.
a person who believes that a particular race is superior to another.
    https://www.google.com/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=racist+definition

Anyone who believe any attribute of any race is more superior than another's is a racist, plain and simple.

Does not matter if it is a belief or a scientific fact. One can sometimes get away with discussing the properties of melanin.

However, the IQ Race thing is a taboo subject. To maintain political correctness you must act like your backward Aboriginal tribal members who cannot mention the names of the dead.

I'm not sure if you understand the history behind referring to black people as apes or monkeys. If any other animal was used then that would not have been racist. As I've posted in this thread before, monkey noises were directed at black football players by a small number of people in the early 1970's. By the mid 1970's thousands were doing it. Do you think that situation was ok? It became the norm. Children joined in as it was "funny" !

BTW The rape sign was photo shopped and even Fox News did not touch that story

You have most certainly got a point. Again, my previous statement was not standing up for such behavior. This is the type of behavior that is unarguably uncalled for. What do we do with this person though? It is freedom of speech. Just because somebody is free to speak, does not mean there will not be consequences for their choice of words. In this case, it would seem Pamela was fired, was she not? And if so, is that along with the shame she will carry on her shoulders, enough punishment. And if not, what is?

Take a look at the real haters, folks:

Twitter Allows ‘Rape Melania’ to Trend After Site Explodes with Trump Assassination Threats

    http://www.breitbart.com/big-govern...te-explodes-with-trump-assassination-threats/

I don't know much about the Trump family as I'm not very interested in celebrity gossip, but don't you think it's possible that Melania married The Donald because she actually loves him? Or is this really such a stupid question?

    Can you prove this claim?

Absolutely. The following long thread contains a large amount of examples of jewish racism:

Non-Jews should not be allowed to live in Israel - Israel's Chief Rabbi

I think you should get the dictionary definition or racist.
    It may help you out.
It can be considered racist is blacks say we are better athletes because we are black. Although, that is a racist view that probably wouldn't lead to divisiveness.

Well, now crowds will be able to make loud monkey noises wherever Orang-etan makes any public appearance. Only, with Trump, the monkey noises will be fitting, given his lack of class, self-control, and brains.

Yes, my lucky fellow Americans, we have bonefide Trailer Trash headed for the White House on January ninth.

    Goddess, save America.

In terms of superiority, we only look at reproduction. That's evolution at its most primeval. It's not who can play basketball or hockey better, but who can fertilize eggs and bring them to maturity.

because the people outraged over it are racist. they see difference before they see humanity. they themselves are so removed from genuine colour-blindness that they don't know it's almost universal in 2016.

Or, as some thinking Democrats are starting to realise, they can't detect it because it's not there. And hasn't been for a generation. Sure, you will find people who are uncomfortable with the culture (behaviour) of certain minorities, but that has nothing at all to do with racism. If it did, Chinese and Indians in America would not be rapidly outdoing whites in fields of endeavour that whites pride themselves on.

The only people who still care about SKIN COLOUR, are progressives and privileged white middle class (or above) fake socialists.

I think you're right. I mean, I guess it's possible the person who said it had racist intentions, but we don't know that. I think the "racist" label needs to be used carefully, and, when it is used, we need to make sure that it's accurate. So many people have gotten into trouble for innocuous remarks that a vocal few regarded as racist. Like the guy that used the word "(*)(*)(*)(*)(*)rdly." I very much doubt that guy intended to offend anybody, but the fallout was ridiculous. That kind of stuff should not be allowed, in my opinion.

Yes, god forbid democracy rules and you end up with just any old imperfect commoner. Why not invest a royal family (you could start with the Clintons, maybe, or whatever's left of the Kennedys)? I recommend you implement very strict laws of succession (matrilineal, of course), to keep the monarchy pure and free from alternative ideologies.

Galantry (of the puerile sort referred to here) is the preserve of nobility. Peasants don't have time for it.
