Military Cadets Cheer Romney's criticism of Obama

(1). When have I ever said that Obama "has done everything right and is a golden boy"? I don't support his economic policies, the bailouts, Obamacare, or his stance on illegal immigration. I've condemned the administration for its conduct of the gun runner fiasco. I've said that he had a complete lack of balls for his inability to get Gitmo closed.

If you do nothing but post about how much you don't like Obama, chances are you hate him.

If people are attending a political event I assume they support the politician's position.

It's hardly surprising that they're likely to be conservative.

Do you really think someone applauding has anything to do with the issues? You think Obama is a weak military leader?

 

So how is promising to spend more and more money on the military while we go into debt equaling "pride and love"?

Taking care of our citizens would seem to show more "pride and love" than making more military weapons when we already have more than anyone else on earth.

I don't know if he's a weak leader, but he's certainly a schizophrenic one, and his "apology tour" at the beginning of his term as President left a bitter taste in the mouths of many veterans and active duty military.

I think Romney's statement resonated with the cadets because Obama has shown himself to be dismissive towards our allies and hesitant to embrace our nation's greatness.

Strategically, Obama has certainly done some things quite well, but they are not enough to overshadow the numerous shortcomings of his foreign policy vision, or lack thereof. To this day, I'm not sure what Obama's strategic vision for the United States is.

The problem that the military has with Obama is that he shows no leadership. I don’t think that is just the military but with the American people overall. When a situation is presented he doesn’t know what to hell to do. Look at the Gulf oil crises. It went on for almost 3months. Were was he? He was out playing golf and basketball. Untell it was half way done then he got involved. When present with a situation he freaks out and can’t make any decision. It took him almost 2 weeks to make up his mind to kill OBL.

Obama doesn’t take the office of the president seriously. Someone on here posted what his schedule is/was. That is the real schedule. He doesn’t do anything until 10am. He met with his economy advisers for a period of 15-30min. The worst economy we’ve had since the great depression, and he only spends half-hour with his advisors? That screams WTF. When Bush Sr, Bush Jr, and Clinton were in office they had their first meeting at 7-8am. Bush Jr. was up at 5am and in the oval office by 7.

 

I served for 8 years, US Army as a signals intelligence analyst. Got out as an E-5.

The US during Obama presidency is more liked and respected than it has been for a decade.

Whatsmore its military is more feared because now its recognised as willing to use its weapons more productively.

You may object to apologies being made, but the rest of the world respects such humility and will in future find it easier to support US actions.

Your cadets, having watched the video, are just the same old ill informed young men that have always started their careers at this academy. They are neither military experts, nor historically literate nor even politically literate - their just young determined men. Good luck to them, but nations are not guided by the exuberance of youth.

I feel your charge here is mainly against Obama for 'apologising' for america since you have conceded that he does have a decent foreign policy record so far.

You even failed to charge him with having no record on foreign policy.

 

Soldiers don't like Obama because he is weak. He apologizes for America. That is not a leader that they want.

 

Similarly don't get pissed when we say that you hate Obama.

My charge is that even the cadets know the weakness that is Obama. You and the rest of the world may see us as you say, but it matters more how we see ourselves. I wouldn't leap to the assumption that our cadets are ill-informed as they have heard from the heart of the military. An insider's view.

 

Yeah, he sure sounded weak when he killed more militants in two years than Bush did in eight, decimated the majority of Al-Qaeda leadership, and escalated the war in Afghanistan.

By apologizing for America's past mistakes, he demonstrated our grace and humility, which we should be just as proud of as our military might.

 

Our grace and humility is shown every single day when we give to the world, and help without asking for anything in return.

Obama is a failure.

Address what I've been saying about Obama's accomplishments. You've ignored every post I've made mentioning those things from the very beginning.
