Those RPG's all have penetration of less than 800mm of RHA. The weakest Western tank (the Leopard II) has armor equivalent to 900mm of RHA.

No Merkava's suffered catastrophic kills in Lebanon. There were a number of mobility kills, but no true armor kills. Its also important to note that Hizbollah had a number of Kornet ATGM's in use as well. Most of their best successes where with 3rd generation ATGM's, not RPG's.

(*)(*)(*)(*). Are you blind? 900mm of RHA - is just the strongest place in tank's armor.
It's tower's front. In other places tanks are weaker, especially Western ones.

Here you go. "Abrams" tanks with breached armor by RPG.

No. There were 5 "Merkawa" demolished tanks, about 40 tanks with breached armor and about 25 crew members dead.

After Gulf War I and U.S. Abrams and BFV's left the battlefield with literally hundreds
of burnt-out and charred carcasses of once mighty Russian T-72 and T-80 tanks. ...

    The Russians got desperate because the T-72 was their main export;
and didn't perform well in combat against U.S. armored elements.

    Hence the T-90.

I remember those pictures. Those are Abrams that were taken out by 1000kg EFP's, not by RPG's.

Lol. First of all. Most of "hundreds of burned-out tanks" were killed by aviation.
Secondly. There were no one T-80. Thirdly. Export versions of our tanks are much weaker, than that, which we use in our army. Finally. Wat did you expect from Irakis crews?

Lol. Do not try to cheat yourself. It's RPG kills definitly. Look at the 2-nd picture. You can see a hole from RPG's HEAT rocket.

Iranian EFP's started being used in Iraq around '07.

Basically SIM-EFP's, still very capable of taking out heavy battle tanks.

I don't think so. Anyway, M1A2 has only 50% of it's front projection invincible to RPG's (950 mm of RHA) ,the rest of booking is vulnerable even to RPG-7 warhead. I am still looking for full data about "Abrams" armor.

Here is the temporary memorial to the victims
    [IMG]

In the area of Dand (Minari) continued heavy fighting with armor. For the Americans, again, to sad. So many wounded
    [IMG]

In Helmand, too, there are fights. It seems the Taliban have decided to take advantage of the fact that significant forces diverted to Kandahar and started their own offensive in Marjah.

One of my favourite planes, there is a fully restored one based in a small airport near me, ever since I saw one flying in an air show about 20 years ago I loved it, but I am very grateful the actual purpose of it was never fulfilled!

I saw one in the 70's at an airshow. Reminded me of a giant bat and he was rolling around his horizontal axis , much more maneuverable for something that size and old than I thought it would be. Neat old airplane! to the Vulcan!

This was here last year, I HAD to visit it. My Dad had 35 missions over target in one while flying with the 15th AF out of Italy to mostly Germany. I am LUCKY to be here because the odds of 35 were slim to none.

I sailed 10's of 1000's on miles aboard her in both war and peace. Flew on both of these types as an engineer. Flying the old dinosaurs was wit6hout doubt the best job I ever had. Sadly, 542817 crashed in 1985 and killed everyone onboard, a sad day at Arlington followed.
