Not in the case mentioned,... looks like a good solution.... kind of like the Anti-Choicers wanting to shame women......only the Anti-Choicers would get a dose of their own perverted medicine :)

Pro-Life means to not devalue the life of an unborn child. A person either is pro-life or not. Its not fair or right that a woman was raped. But the unborn child is still an innocent life and has value.

Really, if a person states themselves as pro-life, then they should view an unborn child--from a rape or consensual sex-- as the same value of a newborn. This legislation is true to pro-life principals.

Society as it is now doesn't view unborn as valuable human life and our laws reflect that for the most part. But who knows what lies down the road? 100 years from now it might be abhorrent even for the rape victim to consider an abortion. Women at that time might see unborn as a bonafide child and murder to kill it. Or society can change where women might be legally throwing newborns in the dumpsters because they weren't pretty enough or were the wrong sex.

    That's only half the equation.
Substitute Marxist lefties in your statement, and it fits them too. They all want to force their agenda on others.

No, lefties do NOT want to FORCE women to remain pregnant like righties do.

They believe women , like every other citizen of the United States , has the right to their own body and the right to CHOOSE.

Note: preserving freedom and liberty is NOT forcing anyone to do anything ..

    No they don't.
You fascists are all about forcing your agenda on everyone else.
Fascist rightists have always been about controlling everyone else and making them submit.
Try to swist it and you know you can't.....if your honest.

This female is not playing w/a full deck.......to call a pregnancy from rape a 'blessing from God' is absolutely insane. If this had happened to her own daughter, wonder if she'd feel her daughter was 'blessed'.

I get so damn tired of these religious zealots who give God credit or blame for everything that happens....if a woman gets pregnant, even if she's raped, it's 'God's will' or a 'blessing'......if a storm, like Katrina, kills thousands, it's 'God's will'......idiots.

I happened to head to google where I read the actual proposed law.

I also saw that it will be submitted to the voters of the State for their ruling.

Do you have a thing against the public voting on laws?

You should read the actual resolution and do your best to notice the public is asked to vote. This will not pass in either house of the state unless the voters approve this.

There is no mention of religion at all in the proposal.

I understand that, but the woman did mention "God" in her speech and said there could be a 'silver lining' in having a rapist's baby.......that's playing on the woman's emotions.

To me, you leave out 'God' or any reference to anything religious. A pg woman from rape should only be talking to her doctor, spouse (if there is one) and counselor about her situation. That's it. Everyone else - butt out.

agree, those are the politicians from both sides I dislike

be it mandatory vaginal probes, banning guns, banning smoking, big gulps, the war on drugs, marriage or what not

I am pro-choice, I believe we need less of a nanny government, not more of one

if people need help they can ask for it, stop trying to force their beliefs on us

Missouri has a lot of topics that can bring people to basic ideals.

Old Test wanted to kill these people, new Test doesn't. The progress is slow in some red states.

But if this is the topic brought up years ago about Conservative Missouri Lawmakers using Tyranny to force their beliefs, then you get onto a bigger topic. Conservatives never want to let people to discuss these matters without trying to control them. But that is what they have been doing for Centuries.

I'm a bit of a Progressive on this topic.

Do you think it's ok to use taxation for condoms? And if so, what age.

    Condom's should not be taxed.

Nor should any form of birth control.
