So by your logic you have to wait until an armed assailant starts shooting before you can use deadly force? That defies logic!

    - - - Updated - - -

well now you have to describe "threatening you" and reasonable. Step up and do some defining here.

I don't recall saying that at all. But you can not shoot someone that has ZERO chance at that time of harming you. How can you not get this? LOL

    - - - Updated - - -

Saying they want to kill you.

So someone outside your door has zero chance of harming you....how so? You need to understand imminent threat and influencing factors to understand your situation...please do so.

AHHH good, so if someone says they want to kill you and the have the ability and opportunity to do so, by your logic you have to wait until they actually start before you can use deadly force? WOW Thank god our men in blue don't have to follow your illogical beliefs

No. That is the standard in every court in every state in the country. It is common law. This is so basic that it saddens me you don't know this.

LOL can someone who has the ability, opportunity, and puts you in jeopardy, kill you if they threaten to do so LOL from the other side of a door....sure they can LOL and what if there are other influencing factor (you need to learn this phrase) such as multiple unarmed using threatening words?

I like the fact that you keep arguing when you know you are wrong, it's what anti-gunners do and why the large majority of people in the USA agree with expanding pro gun laws. THANKS

Not here. I can use deadly force to stop theft or in the commission of another felony. You're blowing smoke.

    Reasonable Person
A phrase frequently used in tort and Criminal Law to denote a hypothetical person in society who exercises average care, skill, and judgment in conduct and who serves as a comparative standard for determining liability.
The decision whether an accused is guilty of a given offense might involve the application of an objective test in which the conduct of the accused is compared to that of a reasonable person under similar circumstances

LOL that's why you get to be judged by a jury of you PEERS. Your reasonableness is really unreasonable. LOL

Glad we agree. THEY must agree you were being reasonable. And if they don't you go to the grey bar hotel. Now you are learning

    - - - Updated - - -

You deny the reasonable person standard exists in common law? Really? LOL

Reasonable doesn't mean snowflake. That's your mistake. You don't have a clue about my states laws and the precedents thereof. None.

And you aren't learning, it's the common trait of the anti-gun....they don't try to apply law, they apply emotion. Jury of your peers tends to allow that they understand your reasonableness based on more than whether the perp had a weapon or was on the other side of a door. You'll get that someday and if you don't well good luck with surviving and attack from a thug LOL

I actually do. You said you could shoot someone in the commission of a felony. Can you shoot someone committing tax fraud, a felony? LOL

    - - - Updated - - -

    You would lose that case

Then state them. You can't even name a prosecution in the process involving home invasion or an attempt thereof.

Nope! I can apply imminent threat and influencing factors and prove beyond a reasonable doubt to a jury of my peers that I was just a reasonable as they would have been in that same situation....Probably have them saying...you should of shot the criminal 5 or 6 more times. LOL Lol lol
