    Carter, Reagan, Bush Sr., Clinton, Bush Jr. and Trump all had independent counsels investigate their administrations.

    Obama didn't have an independent counsel investigate him.. Why?

    Yeah, in a court of law, but the independent mind can judge for themselves--and Trump sure as hell did try hard as hell to derail this investigation.

    Because it would have been political suicide.

    Instead, the Republicans took the back seat and let Obama's radicalism give way for the Republicans to win over 1000 seats at the Federal, State and local levels in the 2010 and 2014 elections gaining control of the house, senate, majority of governor mansions and the majority of state legislatures.

    He said he couldn't declare Trump clear of crimes and that it was now the job of Congress to continue the investigation and finish it. How much more clarity do you need?

    It’s a good point. However, I believe that act of hindering an investigation, itself, is illegal. Though if I were a judge, I’d cut him some slack.
