MSNBC's Bashir: GOP Cares More for 'War Memorials' Than Kids with Cancer (ignores Reid comment)

    By Ken Shepherd
    October 03, 2013

Republicans seem to "prefer [reopening] war memorials to" resuming cancer treatments for "living children." That's the grotesque, hyperpartisan spin that MSNBC's Martin Bashir weaved on his October 2 program, reacting to Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus's offer to have the RNC pay for five security guards to man the World War II Memorial which the National Park Service, in concert with the Obama White House, has ordered closed during the shutdown.

Bashir made that remark shortly into his Wednesday program before introducing his all-liberal panel of guests. Bashir, of course, FAILED TO MENTION Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's callous rejection of the notion of passing a funding bill that would re-open the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and with it clinical trials to treat cancer-stricken children.

Deflection and obfuscation of the truth is the Progressive Socialist form of propaganda. The CNN reporter was correct in asking the question that she did and Harry Reid exposed himself as the uncaring political hack that he has been hiding behind a false façade of self righteousness.

When did they ever have Federal employees at the memorial for visitors? Keeping that memorial open doesn't cost one cent more .

This is one big thing that sets Fox different than MSNBC. Fox brings on the opposition to discuss current issues so that people can hear both sides. MSNBC most of the time, doesn't want you to hear the opposition.
