    The Clinton's are such an embarrassment to Democrats and the country. We would be so much better off if these two were either in jail (actually, just Hillary) or if they would quietly just shut up and go away.

    I never actually read the Star report on Clinton:

    Independent counsel Ken Starr's 1998 report on Clinton's affair with Lewinsky identified 17 phone sex calls in 1996 and 1997. The report says Clinton told Lewinsky "that he suspected that a foreign embassy (he did not specify which one) was tapping his telephones, and he proposed cover stories. If ever questioned, she should say that the two of them were just friends. If anyone ever asked about their phone sex, she should say that they knew their calls were being monitored all along, and the phone sex was just a put-on."

    I need no idea he was being taped.

    If you read carefully the entire report you will see it was U.S. Intelligence that recorded the phone call, not Russia. It was clarified later in the report. You just read the first part of the click bait.

    Actually no, you have it confused and only partially correct. The Russians may have recorded it themselves and/or compromised communications that allowed them to get the information.

    Clinton allegedly was recorded by Russia in the 1990s, allowing Russia to learn of the affair before American officials

    and:

    "We speculate that the Russians got it from intercepts of Air Force One or they placed a bug in Lewinsky's apartment," he said.

    and:

    Former Russian President Boris Yeltsin knew about President Clinton's affair with Monica Lewinsky as early as 1996, according to former U.S. intelligence officials who said that they believe that the Russians obtained the knowledge by compromising secure White House communications.

    and:

    The Starr Report quotes Lewinsky as saying that, during this encounter the president "told her that he suspected that a foreign embassy (he did not specify which one) was tapping his telephones, and he proposed cover stories. If ever questioned, she should say that the two of them were just friends. If anyone ever asked about their phone sex, she should say that they knew their calls were being monitored all along, and the phone sex was just a put-on."
