Mueller Report, Rumored to Drop Next Week, Is Only the Beginning of Trump’s Hell

We are pretty much on the same page, and yes there was the appearance of criminal activity in the whole White Water fiasco and Bill and Hillary Clinton's fingerprints seemed to be all over it. But as it was, the Clintons were not implicated in criminal activity re Whitewater just as President Trump is most unlikely to be implicated in any Russian collusion during the 2016 campaign. What they got President Clinton on was crimes that were developed within the investigation itself, just as is the case with all or most being indicted in the Muller investigation. President Clinton did in fact commit perjury and obstruction of justice as was agreed by the New York Superior Court, the Supreme Court, and the Arkansas Bar Association.

But I will never believe that if the GOP had not had hope of impeaching and dethroning Bill Clinton, there never would have been a special prosecutor appointed to investigate Whitewater. I don't think they would have given a tinker's dam about Whitewater otherwise.

The House did impeach him by a fairly narrow margin. The Senate voted I think on a straight party line vote which did not reach the 2/3rds majority necessary to convict the President so he narrowly escaped being removed from office.

The Democrats know full well that if the House majority should be able to impeach President Trump, they certainly do not have the votes in the Senate to convict him. So it is pretty much a meaningless gesture to hurt the President, vindicate Bill Clinton, and the only result is a colossal waste of time, talent, taxpayer money, and a widening of the divide among us.

 

The Whitewater investigation was a result of the Resolution Trust Corporation investigation into the Savings and Loan scandal. The RTC was investigating Madison Guaranty owned by the McDougals and part of that was Whitewater and Castle Grande in which the Clintons were involved. Once the RTC found evidence of crimes, which also drug in the Rose Law Firm where Hillary worked they issued a criminal referral to the DOJ. It all STARTED with crimes and a criminal referral. Once that happened Clinton pretty much had no choice to call for an Independent prosecutor and Hillary began her obstruction of the process along with her partners the McDugals and Webb Hubble and Vince Foster. Jim McDugal agreed to testify and then turned up dead in his cell when his heart medication was mysterious withheld. Foster killed himself rather than face prosecution and prison time. Susan McDugal went to jail refusing to cooperate. Webb Hubble went to jail for his crimes and refused to cooperated and over the prison phone infamously told his wife "I only need to roll over one more time" for the Clinton's to get what ever favors they were promising, like maybe a pardon he never got. Susan McDugal did get hers on Clinton's last day in office.

The got Clinton on crimes committed in the Paula Jones federal lawsuit which had nothing to do with Starr. Once they had him on that he committed additional crimes before the grand jury.

The GOP had NOTHING to do with either case. Whitewater was from the RTC criminal referral and with the Lewinsky matter Starr was handed prima facie evidence Clinton had committed crimes in a federal court. No one went looking for it it was dumped in his lap.

The Democrats said actually felonies in a federal court in a federal civil rights lawsuit, perjury, obstruction of justice, subornation of perjury and witness tampering did not warrant impeachment let alone removal. Acts Clinton engaged in as a government official with subordinate government workers one of which was NOT consensual by any means. Trump doesn't even come close.

 

Yes and it is a fact that the Russians did meddle in the 2016 election however minimal to no effect that they had on it. After exhaustive hearings and investigations, the conclusion is that they had zero effect on the outcome. The purpose of the Mueller investigation was to determine what meddling was done and if anybody, most especially the President, was complicit in facilitating it. There was, I will agree, almost nothing to connect President Trump to Russian meddling while Bill and Hillary Clinton were very clearly involved in Whitewater.

We can agree to disagree on fine points of the history and what appeared to be motives. But I will stand by my opinion that the Clintons were ultimately not accused of illegal activity re the Whitewater investigation, and the House would not have had any cause to impeach Clinton but for the Starr investigation. And I will always believe that the true agenda was to find something with which to accuse the President. Ultimately, though he was impeached, it was for reasons unrelated to the original purpose of the special investigation which was my point. I would imagine that it is extremely frustrating to the current anti-Trump group that Mueller so far has seemed to come up with bupkis to accuse, much less convict President Trump. And they don't care WHAT Mueller might come up with. They just desperately want him to come up with something to justify impeachment proceedings.

 

The Russians have meddled in every election for decades and we meddle in theirs.

The Clinton's are VERY good at getting out of the crimes they commit and getting people to go to jail refusing to testify or as with her emails getting them sweetheart deals an immunity for their testimony. The House would not have had cause to impeach Clinton had he not committed multiple felonies in a federal court which had nothing to do with Starr. Linda Tripp went to him because the President of the United States was part of a scheme to commit that perjury and his girl friend was telling her that if she did not go along and lie before the grand jury about what she knew she and the President would go after her and call her a liar and then SHE would be in jeopardy of perjury charges for that. So she took her evidence to the INDEPENDENT PROSECUTOR that was in standing. Starr didn't go out looking for it AT ALL. The FBI confirmed it and then Reno against his objections assigned it to his office. No one had to find a reason, Clinton walked into the court proceeding and KNOWINGLY and PURPOSELY committed multiple felonies even setting up his very young and naive mistress for a term in a federal prison by doing so.

The Mueller investigation a totally different matter, they couldn't even point to a predicate crime for which to establish a Special Prosecutor, and so far we haven't seen one for the task he was assigned to look into other than some Russian who he will never have to prosecute.

 

He has already done far more in that direction than trump has. Thanks to him we now know Trump is a criminal who, among other things, committed felony bank fraud. It's nearly over now.

The Starr investigation was very much an inquiry in search of a crime, they were fortunate that Bill just handed them his perjury on a plate. Mueller is the same but it remains to be seen if there is a smoking gun in this case?

It is getting pretty farcical with all these different law enforcement agencies investigating one another.
