This isn't nessecarily an arguement against or for abortion, but it can be, but it's more usually using a certain terminology in order to elicit a certain emotional reaction from a person, in order to argue/convince them your beliefs about abortion. Both pro choicers and pro lifers are totally guilty of this. This is a horrible way to debate abortion.

Basically, it involves using certain terminology/words in order to get an emotional response from a person about abortion. It's extremley annoying because it doesn't use logic at all.

    Here are some examples

    Pro Life pet peeve arguments

    "Oh, it's a baby"

    "It's an unborn child".

    Pro choice pet peeve arguements

    "it's a woman's pregnancy, her body".

While I would agree with your first item on the list as being used to invoke an emotional response, the other two are both just statements of fact.
A fetus is an unborn child, and it can be nothing other than a woman's pregnancy involving her body.

Overall the majority of "trigger" words tend to be used by pro-life people, usually incorrectly, such as murderers and nazi's .. usually a word/statement that is used to provoke a mental image/emotional response is factually incorrect.

Well that's the whole idea. Do you really not understand that?

The unborn child obviously is an unborn child. This apparently bothers you because it renders your position wrong.

This should of course start with .. in my opinion .."The unborn child obviously is an unborn child. This apparently bothers you because it renders your position wrong."

The first part is correct, the second part obviously wrong.
