If making my mortgae payment depended on parroting the man-made global warming narrative I would find another field of science

The public schools have been failing since the end of the Vietnam War when drugged out hippiies realized they needed a job

What better than getting paid to brainwash the next generation of school children about the joys of socialism?

Only tiny hurricanes and tornados have been recorded more and thats because of having better recording methods and devices since 1950. The large hurricanes on average have been the same. The only thing thats increased with large weather incidents is the number of times people have blamed them on global warming.

    Never?

    Thats a very long time

What you mean is its not common

And btw, the US can sell you all the wheat you need to make bread with

And perhaps more importantly all the barley you need to brew beer

I bet your new friends the russians and iranians cant do that

Russia produces lots of wheat. Can you deliver non GM wheat? GMO s banned in Germany. Russia can deliver non GMO wheat.

I absolutely agree with this statement.

The only reason tornado counts seem to be going up is because 1) doppler radar is detecting more of them 2) storm chasers damn near see every single one now and 3) we have better cataloging methods. The best metric for tracking tornado trends is to look at EF2 or stronger tornadoes. These strong to violent tornadoes don't exhibit the same reporting inflation as the weak (EF0-1) ones do so they provide a reasonably consistent dataset from which to draw conclusions. The interesting thing is that EF2+ tornadoes have actually been declining over the years.

And in regards to the tropical cyclones the consensus is that they will actually become less frequent by 2100. However, when they do occur they will be slightly more intense on average. And, of course, pinning the entirety of a single hurricane on climate change is absurd. If the media wants to convince to people that climate change is real then they are doing themselves a disservice by labeling every weather event as being directly tied to climate change. It just doesn't work that way.

GMOs are banned in Germany? That's definitely a topic for another thread but to give it a climate change slant I will say that GMOs might be one adaptation route for dealing with global warming. If Germany has banned them then they have effectively constrained their ability to adapt.

We dont want eat GMO stuff. There is zero acceptance in the population for that stuff.

Ironically the biggest GMO producers in the world is BAYER and a german corporation. They even bought Monsanto now but sell GMO only outside Germany.

So we have the best GMO technology here but dont sell the product at home.

--assuming solar energy is constant, although NOAA paleoclimatologists show a periodic 20% fluctuation in solar energy flow that correlates w/ both temperature and CO2 level swings, suggesting that temperature forces CO2 levels more than vice versa:[IMG]

Well its a problem. The forests are stressed and can get ill. April and May were very dry and if it doesnt rain much in June we definitly get a problem.

So far they say our harvest would be 30% lower than usual. That 30% has to be purchased from others.

From Russia we can bring in wheat via train ect. But you`With airplane or what?

Wrong. GMO crops destroy the soil. If used in combinantion with pestizides the ecosystem dies.

We have the law here that inside the wheat fields must also be flowers ect for insects.

Another thing is, that most germans dont want GMO sorts, because they are not like the real thing. We have very old sorts of vegetables in Germany. Specific potato like this here

GMO is all same and not like that

To get the monopoly. BAYER was the market leader already. By buying the Nr. 2 we get better.

Those potato are bred in 17th century. I doubt it has a jellyfish DNA in it like your GMO crops.

    I dont want industrial food.

So if we buy wheat from you, you must guarantee that it meets our standard.

Humans have always modified the genetics of crops to produce better plants

If bayer is so superior as you claim then they would naturally gain all the market anyway

Very true. In fact, what has been observed in the paleoclimate record is that CO2 concentrations lagged temperature changes by as much as 1000 years. What that tells us is that something else was the catalyzer for change. And that these catalyst candidates sometimes had very long inertial responses (again by as much as 1000 years). This actually makes since. The inertial response for an increase in temperature caused by CO2 is on the order of a few decades. But, the inertial response of the additional release of CO2 due to higher temperatures is on the order of a few hundred years. What's different today is that we're releasing all of this stored carbon at an insanely fast rate (orders of magnitude faster than in the paleoclimate record) so what's happening is that instead of CO2 concentrations lagging the temperature record they are actually leading it. In other words the carbon dioxide forcing process is dwarfing it's natural feedback process right now because we are artificially enhancing the rate at which it is accumulating in the atmosphere.

NASA reports that we do in fact have satellite data for CO2, although your Mauna Loa data were the only numbers that come out of it. They may be having problems w/ the OCO2 (like they did w/ OCO1) and if so it would explain why the OCO3 is scheduled to come on line soon.

Comrade we want eat it. And we dont eat wheat that has salt water on it, or bird crap.

As far as i know we only buy oranges from USA.

Most of our food that we import comes from Italy, Spain, France, Peru, Argentina and Cuba.
