    You left out an important word: 'the', "the violent rioters", as in Antifa.

    It's been made plain to me by the actions of officials in the previous occurrences.

    That is your opinion and you have every right to it but Inwould Tenerife to base my opinion on facts and I have not seen any facts that say the authorities are in league with the Nebulites e.g. Antiffa.

    I don't believe that any officials are, to any significant degree, "in league with" Antifa. I never said that I did think so. I said that I think they agree with them.

    There if a fine line between in league and agree with. There was a tinder during Jim Crow that for the most part authorities in Southern states agreed with the KKK in he lynchings were note investigated nor were murders of civil rights workers. Sort of in league wouldn't you say?

    We'll just have to disagree on that. For me, there is an important distinction between the two.

    To be 'in league with', one must be a direct associate in the activity. In other words, they have to 'collude'.

    One can agree with an activity without participating, and one can be an active participant, without agreeing.

    The good news is that the white supremacist movement made a national fool of itself in Charlottesville last summer.

    Their behavior and images of Nazi torchlight parades in the busom of Thomas Jefferson were not only an affront to Jefferson, but to what the United States stands for.

    They were blinded by the ascent of Trump and his serial race baiting, thinking that the imaginary "silent majority's" time had come.

    They were unprepared for the collective national revulsion.

    Since then, their movement has splintered and has been consumed by infighting. Which is a good place to leave it.
