Dude. You are barking up the wrong tree. I got vaccinated because I feel it was the right thing to do to prevent any downtime from getting sick. I'm not scared one bit about these vaccines. But I respect peoples choice to not get vaccinated. I couldn't translate much of anything that comes out of Biden's mouth into English. Dude is a ****ing pedophile piece of ****. So don't bother asking me as to why or how this administration does anything.
You have TOTALLY lost perspective. Science based medicine does NOT provide you with magic. It doesn't eliminate the flu. It doesn't eliminate cancer. It doesn't eliminate diabetes. It doesn't eliminate measles. It doesn't eliminate chickenpox. Etc. etc. etc. What it DOES do is provide methods of prevention and treatment. So, what the HECK are you after? Do you need an apology for that?
I admire your respect for those not taking the clot shots, and like my many friends and family members, I'm very happy you've not been harmed by the shots. That's a good thing. My bet is that, depending upon when you took the shots, in 3 to 4 months later, you will get sick just like the rest. Not dead, just sick. Demonstrating the abject failure of the shots to prevent sickness.
Wow is that answer to THAT ever obvious! As is clearly born out in the hospitals all across America, those who fail to get vaccinated are spreading and contracting COVID at a FAR higher rate and are clogging our ICUs. Suggesting that our vaccines aren't perfect is a silly argument. Almost none of our medicines are perfect. Yet, they save lives and reduce suffering.
I'm already well past the 3-4 month mark. Everyone I know of in my family who took the damn thing is fine. I've never felt healthier. The vaccine is fine. But. It's your call. You do you.
Why is it reasonable to continue doing what we already know doesn't bring the virus under control? Isn't that illogical? What we have been doing isn't going to stop covid. The current science tells us that.
Because the aim of the vaccine was not to bring it under control (who said it was?) whatever that means but to reduce the hospitalisation and deaths which has so far been successful for those who were vaccinated which is what the current science tells us that.
Our defenses against COVID require a major percent of the population to take part. Suggesting our measures don't work based on the FACT that such a large percent of our population DON'T TAKE THOSE MEAURES is really pretty stupid, isn't it? We have LOTS of medicines and medical procedures that don't work if you don't actually take them! Does that mean our whole approach to healthcare is crap?
After calling me stupid I normally wouldn't respond but I will answer your question. No, our approach to health care is excellent. It is our approach to dealing with covid that is crap. Let's not ignore facts. Firstly this is a weaponized virus (opinion of course) and the health care system doesn't have much if any experience with that. So the tried and true methodology has proven to be ineffective. You can blame anybody you want for its ineffectiveness but it is ineffective nonetheless. Next, if you can't see that government lied repeatedly about the virus and the response to it, you are naive. Some of it may have been well meant, but it was wrong. Those lies have settled in and people like you defend them, I suppose, because you trust government. In the meantime practicing physicians in the private sector have attempted to correct these lies only to be censored and ignored. In my opinion this is due to the government being unable to accept differing opinions and criticism. I say that because it has held true throughout my lifetime. A perfect example is the fact that the government doctors have never included natural immunity in the response to the virus. Natural immunity is easily the equal of vaccinated immunity and, in the opinions of most physicians, it is superior. Why is it ignored by government? Probably government power and control isn't capable of controlling natural immunity and verifying it. Politics over medical practice. Despite the medical community banging hard on this, the government continues to ignore it. The science says there is no reason for a naturally immune person to vaccinate. None. Not even a bad reason. There is a belief that vaccinating a naturally immune person will strengthen the immunity. It may be so but we have no data indicating that for this virus and these vaccines and this isn't a normal virus. The vaccines haven't changed but the virus has. It has made the vaccine obsolescent along with the old "science." We must adapt our response to the rapid change in the virus and stop pushing for more of what is proven to be ineffective. Having said all this I continue to recommend vaccination to everyone who can tolerate it. Even though the vaccines are obsolescent in the face of the new resistant strains of covid, there is evidence that it can reduce the severity of symptoms in a vaccinated person. For the OP, please try to keep personal attacks out of your posts.
As they become less dangerous, that would be the plan. Just like the last Sars virus, or all of them for that matter, they still are around, but very little worry. We should be near the end. The 1919 Spanish flu also ended in time.
Well, the virus is what it is. I've never heard anyone claim that our difficulties with virus are related to it having been altered by humans to be more capable. If you want to make claims like this, you should show where that is documented. I don't know of any lies told by our government. It's not a matter of "trusting government". If you want to claim there was a lie, please identify it, as there is no way to respond to some blanket accusation such as yours. This has been explicitly addressed by CDC which has shown that natural immunity is significantly inferior to immunity resulting from vaccination. So, please cite your source. Now you are claiming a conspiracy theory that involves all of medical science throughout the world. If you want to do that, you have to show some evidence of why that even makes any sense at all. What would be the motivation that is shared among the scientists of all first world nations? How could they possibly coordinate that? And, the science is CLEARLY showing that someone who has had COVID will be much better off once vaccinated. I've cited that result several times now. OK, so when you say "obsolescent" you just mean that the original vaccines, the ones we have today, are becoming less protective. And, what do you mean by "old science"? Why would we stop using this vaccine when there is no other vaccine to take its place? It looks like there will be a booster. But, the possibility of a booster in the future doesn't justify surrendering today.
The infection rates are increasing and the new strains appear to be taking a toll on the vaccines. Everything we have done to control the virus has proven to be ineffective. Why are we near the end?
My real objections are to the idea that the government lied when there is no support given for such a claim. And, our vaccines are a safe and important defense against this pandemic. Encouraging people to think otherwise is how we got to this level of infection in the USA. The US has done a worse job of protecting against this pandemic than has most of the rest of the world. And, that is a measure of the individual failures of Americans, who have all the information and tools that other countries have, but who have fallen victim to crap from conspiracy theorists and other propagators of false information.
Our vaccines NOT INEFFECTIVE. That is a total misrepresentation. People who are vaccinated have better resistance to all variants of COVID and far better outcomes if they do contract the disease. And, they are less likely to transmit the disease.
I'd love to see sources on this. Those epidemiologists I hear from include many who disagree with this. They point out that the Spanish Flu ended, but 35,000 people die of the flu each year. With the large numbers of those in the US averse to fighting against this pandemic, they say it is far more likely that COVID will be around forever. They say we had a window - if we had stepped up and gotten vaccinated like we did for Polio, we could have ended the threat. Instead, we as a nation surrendered to COVID. One might also suggest that there could be new strains that outcompete the strains we face today, thus becoming the only strains anyone might likely contract But, there really isn't any reason to believe that those more competitive strains will somehow be less of a threat to the lives of those infected. Again, I'd love to hear of any source of science that disputes this view. That would be good news!
Fine, but if you're right then cite something. I'm MORE THAN READY to read valid sources of science. And, for some of what you say I would hope you are right!!
I am basing it on past pandemics. Eventually humans overcome the high deaths from them. Spanish flu took 14-18 months to calm down. We've been in Covid-19 for longer than that, but we locked down and did other things to slow down the spread, so we extend the length? IMO. This is just life cycles. IMO.
Well, it might be possible, but I'm not expert on that. imho, it seems like we're a considerable ways from that - thinking back to the plague and some of the more deadly diseases from Africa that failed to kill humanity when humanity had little in the way of defense.
I am no way an expert. I just used past viruses as a guide. Mostly the Spanish flu. As there is ample info on it.
Not counting those who died from the shots, the many thousands of people maimed by the clot shots would strongly disagree with your claim that "the vaccine is fine." Explosive! Public Health Data: 80% of Covid-19 Deaths in August Were Vaccinated People (humansarefree.com) This information from Scotland, if you bother to read it, will contradict your claim that "the vaccine is fine."
