You mean one white kid who posed for a photo with a Confederate flag and a crime how many years in the past? Keep reaching and broad brushing.

So does the US flag. Far longer, in fact. Over 70 years of slavery.

no one believes the American flag is racist, America fought the Confederates and the Confederates lost

you want to honor the Confederates... wave the white flag of surrender

no one is banning those things, you can own them... you just can't put them on the state house lawn

the right can hang nazi memorabilia like the swastika all over their yard if they want, just not on the State house lawn

in fact if the right wants, they can ask to have some of these Confederate statues, put them on Mar-A-Lago for all I care

It was pretty funny when that one idiotic criminal was hit and injured by the statue the thug pulled over. Wrong place, wrong action. Sometimes karma is rough.

You also spent today telling us people were only vandalizing Confederate monuments, do you tire of being wrong or just do it willfully?

Soon Tylenol will be "racist"...after all, you must pick the cotton to get any. Maybe a couple years ago this would have clearly been a joke but just wait for it.

This is why sensible folks don't act as an angry mob. Angry Mobs lynch innocent people. They are in the delirium of pack mentality.
And they hate us. They hate our heroes, they hate our culture, they want to destroy everything.

MOSTLY PEACEFUL: Enraged Madison Protesters Assault State Senator, Tear Down Statue of Abolitionist.

ENRAGED: No one makes good, wise, sensible decisions while enraged.
No one comes up with sensible fair policy solutions, while enraged.

These people are ridiculous and they aren't fooling America.

Black Lives Matter protesters in Madison, Wisc., became angry when one of their leaders was arrested by police. Devonere Johnson, a local activist and organizer, was arrested after following a white customer into a restaurant with a bullhorn and a baseball bat. Johnson said the white man “provoked” him.

They find us breathing to be provocative.

Johnson began shouting into the bullhorn, calling the white man a “racist” and ranting on about the pyramids, slavery, and other unintelligible things.

After this unhinged display, Johnson was taken into custody.

But the mob believed Johnson did nothing wrong. They gathered in front of the capitol building on Tuesday night and decided to go on a statue-destroying binge.

Except, the statues they tore down represented the finest of Wisconsin’s progressive past.

    Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel

Protesters, chanting for the release of the man who’d been arrested earlier, also broke glass at the Tommy Thompson Center on West Washington Avenue, smashed windows and lights at the state Capitol, and set a small fire at the Dane County jail before police arrived just before 1 a.m.

Statues of Wisconsin’s motto “Forward” and of Col. Hans Christian Heg were dragged away from their spots guarding the statehouse. Heg was an anti-slavery activist who fought and died for the Union during the U.S. Civil War. His nearly 100-year-old sculpture was decapitated and thrown into a Madison lake by protesters.

The “Focus” statue had stood in front of the capitol since 1885 representing the very best of America.

Democrat Governor Tony Evers was nowhere to be seen.

Tuesday night’s violence drew the fury of the Republican leader of the state Assembly, who called the protesters who knocked down the statues “thugs.”

“This is absolutely despicable. I am saddened at the cowardice of Madison officials to deal with these thugs,” Assembly Speaker Robin Vos, R-Rochester, tweeted as the statues were being torn down.

Vos also questioned why Gov. Tony Evers hadn’t intervened in the destruction of the statues, given it took place on state Capitol property. Protesters also broke windows of a state building near the Capitol which houses the state jobs agency, among other state offices.

    We know why.

The state senator who was assaulted, Democrat Tim Carpenter, was a little bewildered. He says all he was doing was taking pictures of the riot — probably to approvingly share on social media later — when he was jumped by some “peaceful protesters.”

    Tim Carpenter

    @TimCarpenterMKE

I took this pic- it got me assaulted & beat up. Punched/kicked in the head, neck, ribs. Maybe concussion, socked in left eye is little blurry, sore neck & ribs. 8-10 people attacked me. Innocent people are going to get killed. Capitol locked- stuck in office.Stop violence nowPlz!

Begging a Mob for mercy? They are bloodthirsty, they have zero interest in extending you mercy. They do not view you as a human, they view you as something to be kicked, slugged and stomped, and they attack in packs. Your leaders, in your own party view you as acceptable collateral damage,

“I don’t know what happened … all I did was stop and take a picture … and the next thing I’m getting five-six punches, getting kicked in the head,” Carpenter told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel following the attack.

    Senseless, mindless barbarism.

This is what the Left would do to our entire nation if they could.

The US flag stood for things other than slavery. The Confederacy was specifically founded to preserve slavery. The US was not.

So instead of denouncing political violence you shame the victim on your own team? (please save the "I'm not on the left" as a tree is known by its fruits) I have never seen you defend a Conservative or Republican position, in my time here but you defend the left, daily.

Already responded, I said I only want the Confederate statues removed... Lincoln and others that were not a part of the confederacy are not a issue

yes, some crazies on both sides will want to go too far in either direction, but let's stick the real issue... the Confederate statutes on state house lawns and in the center of towns - the government should not be butting these people on a pedestal

That’s a great idea. trump should offer to take all the rebel traitor statues and put them in his hotels to attract the right clientele, so to speak.
