Yet you think there are no countries in the world that would not try to supply support to rebels in the United States? In a stand up fight the population would lose to the army. But the gorilla war would be ongoing for a century. Cities would be death traps and the countryside would have snipers behind every other bush.

How does a woman whom is practicing her own religion, with no bearing what so ever on anyone else, have ANY effect what so ever on the Seperation of Church and State. Shes not demanding that anyone else wear a headscarf. Shes not mandating anything for anyone else.

I simply cannot see your point here.

Not currently, but under the rule change they are asking, that would also be acceptable.

Freedom of Religion only REALLY applies to Christians and Jews in America. Some would go so far as to declare that Islam is NOT a religion at all, but a political system, and therefore able to be banned.

How about putting a cross, Christmas tree or a nativity scene in the public town square. The cross there demands nothing from anyone, yet it's not allowed. She's going to Congress publically owned building, no religious symbols allowed.

invalid comparison. Nobody is talking about putting religious symbols in public. What is being discussed, is clothing an individual wants to wear.

You dont really understand the difference between personal religious decisions, and government support of a particular religion do you?

There is no need to reply actually. I already know you dont, if you need this explained to you.

Then you better tell all those people to take the cross pins and necklaces off before they enter the building as well eh? But I bet you wouldnt want to go THAT far now would you?

What would be the response if a male member of Congress stated that women should cover their heads to please a deity and to protect men from having evil thoughts?

As much as I am against this idiotic witch hunt and this disgusting hatred of Muslims because he is often just smiling and lying ...

Honestly? The woman is crazy if she really wants to have that introduced!

Nah ... I think you interprete too much into the issue. The scarf is more or less a religious issue and not all Muslim woman do wear that. When I look in my own city where many live, only about 1/3 do wear such a scraf on the head and very rarely you have these wraped up woman. 2/3 cloth same way as any other at us

    Because ...

    1. It's the clear house rules and everyone has to stick to it!
    2. At least on paper, according to the US constitution, there is religious freedom and strict separation of religion and state. However, the whole thing in the US is very hypocritical in practice. How likely is it that an atheist or someone who is not a Christian ever becomes US President, eh? A US president who does not say "God bless America" is inconceivable to most Americans ... so much for practical religious freedom and separation of state and religion in the US!

Personally, until Islam reforms itself and recognizes secular law as an absolute, I’d ban Muslims from any elective position and/or government jobs.

Hmmm. She can, as an individual, but cannot as a government official. So, I agree with you partially.

As a private citizen, she can wear whatever twinkles her toes; but as a government official acting in governmental position, absolutely not.

This is a very good wedge maneuver by Islam to gain respectably, but an awful move for those who support the principle of separation between church and state.

Time to send in the clowns?

Pretty sure covering your head is not required for a woman in islam thats why you only see it in certain cultures and not in others
