A take down is not beating someone up. It's normal practice when confronting a felon.

Your words... Anyways, I couldn't name one tennis player besides Maria Sharapova and that's only because I thought she was good looking back when I was 22 and she went pro.

Hell I saw him on Fox and he was talking about how he doesn't blame them because they were just doing their job. I don't know why the other..............................wait, yes I do. I know exactly why other stations don't show that part.

After a quick Google search, Serena just won a grand slam series and is at the top. There's only one James in the top 100, and his last name isn't Blake. Something tells me that Ryriena is pushing inaccuracy towards us.

I linked his career above in a format easier to read that breaks down his entire career. He isnt in the same league as her. She is an all time great. He is average. Just be honest you think people should know about him because of his skin color. His career does not equate to him being well known.

    THE REAL STORY

    NO RACISM WAS INVOLVED

I had this on the front page but for some reason it was deleted.

The OP's pushing typical liberal race bait nonsense and ignoring the facts of the matter.

I really wish threads like this could be locked so that the real incident can be re-posted.

    So again...

    NO RACISM WAS INVOLVED

Don't buy into yet another pathetic and predictable leftist attempt to ignore fact and paint every cop as "a racist ol' Whitey just out to keel dem coloreds".

By that logic, Mark Sanchez is on par to be like Peyton Manning.

Video was released of the arrest and can be viewed here. Expect this cop to be charged with assault. This is not how you arrest someone who's not resisting. What a dickhead.

Why because i am not blowing up a simple mistaken arrest due to the fact he is Black? If all you want to do is race bait by all means dont reply.

He was taken down solely because he was black and the police had nothing better to do? Funny that's not what I read in the article. Can you quote that part of it?

I see bodyslaming someone without even indfiying if you got the right suspect is alright with some police states lovers on this thread. Heck this was a plain shirt officer and he didn't even bother indfiying himself as a officer or making sure if that was the correct guy. Bravo :clapping: I want you to actually try to defend this one it's going to be fun looking at your responses. He was just standing and got slammed to the ground

Unless you're a tennis fan there is no way you know who Blake is. He's always been a second tier player. Nothing particularly special about his career. He always just been "there".

Still, brutalized is quite the adjective. I'd expect a bruise. Nope. He got slowly tackled and pulled to the ground, then he was free 10ins later after identifying himself. Consider it an adventure.

Not really, I wacth tennis and the real Football a lot so I know most of the underdog type of people and he was unofficially retired as of late, and I forget that tennis isn't that popular of a sport. It has nothing to do with his skin color.

Why didn't he just walk up and ask him for an ID? Why didn't two of the officers just approach him and ask for an ID? They certainly had reasonable cause to stop and question him, but why the instant take down. What if he like some other people of some fame had a body guard who pulled a gun?

Seems a little extreme on the face of it, maybe the police have more to explain why the physical take-down.

So he went from on par with Serena Williams ( the same woman you misspelled her name) to an underdog. You claimed everyone should known him and then admit its not a popular sport to begin with and he simply isnt that good ( underdog) but yet this cop was magically supposed to know who he was...

Its sad you cant admit its your own bias speaking.

It does seem a little extrem doesn't but according to police state defenders here I am crazy or something or a cop hater or racist just because cause I point out he is a good player. Heck Mr. Blake was mistaken for someone who was on the radar for credit card fraud, and correct me if I am wrong isn't a violent crime that deserves such a response from police officers.

Also at one point he was ranked number 4 that is pretty freaking good if you ask me, but hey what do I know I am apparently biased or whatever because I forget tennis isn't a popular sport.

How were they supposed to know he was a "person of fame".. Did they politely ask the other guy they arrested for his ID?

If he asked if he could identify himself, than he would have known who he was.
Instead of acting like a racist thug with a badge.
