That still avoids any kind of evaluation of Newt's behavior.
I wouldn't want to have to defend him either.

Reno assigned after the hatchet face linda trip came to Starr with a secret recording.

By the way first you feed off of Bill Clintons past to justify Gingich's immoral womanizing behavior. Gingrich is self proclaimed womanizer. But what on earth does Barack Obama have to do with Womanizing? How does he get drawn into this? But this why Republicans will lose in 2012. They have no moral decency. First the Birther issues that didn’t fly and now accusing Obama of womanizing.

Sorry to disappoint but my morals have been very consistent here as a poster, and I have mentioned the importance forgiveness very often..I just figured you would understand that language better....to me Obama is morally corrupt, and would do much more damage than hop in some women's bed...Capish?

I care more about the Country than who he may have slept with some hundred years ago....and if he has found his peace,,I am happy for him. I believe he has, and of course you are free to think as you may...

Evaluation?,,,of how long ago? I believe we all change with age, don't you? If the man says he is a content person and has made his peace with God I believe him...
Why shouldn't I? I would hate for people to only see me as a young wild guy that I once was...[Not a pretty picture, I assure you]

Not only that, but with his experience if he can fix this country I don't care if he jumps on a kumquat!!
Most politicians his age think of a Legacy, he's already rich and going down in History as a great President would go far I imagine,,,what's left?

So you take Obama's word that he too is a Christian, right? You fully support the president in his faith claims, don't you?
He said it, you believe him, right?

Forgiveness doesn't equate to disregarding the clear moral bankruptcy repeatedly displayed by Gingrich with regard to him representing the American people. I don't trust him not to sell us out to the highest bidder. In fact, I'm certain he would.

In other words Newt should be completely free of any moral or ethical evaluations because he's rich and old.
This is blatant propaganda and another reason why Republicans will lose the presidential election. They can't be trusted.

I'll take a guy who shares the same sexual urges as any healthy male over a guy who shares the urges of Marxist terrorists any day.

You people didn't seem to complain about Clinton when Monica smoked his stogey in the White House. Now, all of a sudden, you're concerned about morals??

Do you realize how stupid that makes you look?

I'm not a Democrat, I do hold Clinton accountable for his lack of morals. It is not the sexual urges that I have a problem with, but the lack of moral character not to act on them in light of marriage vows.

The ones who look stupid and down right hypocritical here are those that had issue with Clinton's lack of moral character while now seeking to give Gingrich a pass because Clinton showed lack of moral character. That is the height of hypocrisy and speaks to a deep lack of conviction on the part of caricature conservative Republicans and their supporters.

I don't give either of them a pass on their moral character, but don't forget, we're dealing with politicians here, which is pretty much all about the lesser of evils. (and exactly why I worded my post as such.)

The only reason people see dealing with politicians as about the lesser of evils is because they have been duped into supporting a two party oligarchy that both serve the same agenda and thus maintain their power by presenting themselves as opposing ideologies in order to get people arguing for one side or the other.

As long as we accept a lesser evil premise, all we will get is evil.

...so here we have the other woman, one who even knows her place as the other woman, and we are supposed to believe her word as "good as gold"?...she's a POS and her word doesn't matter at all...and Cain lied about it, so he's not only an adulterer but he's also a liar, like Clinton...

How about his criminal acts and how do you even begin to compare Gingrich's sexual behavior with Clinton's which included sexual assault?

Had Clinton's marriage fallen apart and he met someone else and fell in love and left Hillary he would have had no problems. Why does Gingrich?

The ones who are hypocritical are the ones who gave Clinton that pass and now want to criticize Gingrich. I lost the argument in 96, these things don't matter anymore. As long as Clinton is still in the limelight then there should be no attacks on Gingrich. ESPECIALLY since Gingrich has since found his faith in the Catholic church and has admitted he made mistakes in the past.

And this is already dying, it will be a non-issue in the election.

Gingrich is also a liar, and has shown to be amicable to committing fraud in the name of political gain.

    http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/politics/govt/leadership/stories/011897.htm

AND...he's been acting as a lobbyist since 1999, delicately gaming the rules he helped to create in order to avoid actually registering himself as a lobbyist.

    http://www.reuters.com/article/2011/12/01/usa-campaign-gingrich-lobbyist-idUSN1E7AT1UJ20111201

Gingrich is not the answer. He represents everything that is wrong with Washington and is anything but change.

I don't give Clinton a pass on anything. He is a complete and utter slime ball.

The reality is that YOU are trying to present some bizarre two wrongs make a right scenario, as if Clinton's actions in any way make Gingrich's ok.

It's pathetic and sad and speaks to a willing hypocrisy based on partisan political affiliation.

No matter how much you want this to be about Bill Clinton, it isn't. No matter how much the right wing corporate media spin doctors tell you it's no big deal, that it doesn't matter, or that you lost the argument about Clinton so now you get to continue supporting Gingrich despite his clear lack of moral character, it doesn't change the fact the Newt Gingrich is a sleaze and has no ethical/moral character. It's up to you whether or not that is a big deal to you. To me, it is a big deal. I will not support someone that has shown such an absolute moral bankruptcy. I am sure a lot of sheep will when Limbaugh, Hannity, O'Reilly, etc., tell them that it's OK because they really hate Obama, and that's all that matters.

I'm looking for candidates that have an intent to make our country better, not merely to exchange one corporate puppet for another.

Well, then, I guess my response wasn't applicable to you. Many people, however, do vote based on the party/candidate they feel will do the least damage rather than supporting the platform the party/candidate is running on. Many many people have no choice but to see it that way because the two parties both represent the same big government for big business agenda and therefore don't really offer any choice in governance.

I didn't say you in particular, but he is. To be fair Gingrich should receive the same especially since his transgression don't even come close. If he was allowed to serve then Gingrich should be allowed to serve.

It was the Democrats who said it was alright, I lost the argument.

ANY such scandals with high level politicians will include Clinton, get over it.

AH that was the Democrat Party and the MSM media that said it, fought the case and won.

Gingrich is not much different from almost half the marriages in this country, he committed no crime, he did not assault any women, he did not use his power to gain sexual favor from subordinate employees, his transgressions were strictly personal matters involved failed marriages. If Clinton got a bye, certainly Gingrich deserves the same treatment.

You're being deliberately obtuse. I don't support Clinton. If he was running for something I would be openly and consistently opposing him. Gingrich isn't being disallowed from serving and no one said that he shouldn't be "allowed to serve". But you are the one that is claiming that his lack of moral character doesn't and/or shouldn't matter. You are making this claim based on your own experience where you admit to arguing against Bill Clinton based on lack of moral character and having lost the argument, to whom I do not know. You are free to support who you like, but it is hypocritical to claim that you want to disregard Gingrich's moral bankruptcy because Democrats disregarded Clinton's even though you did not.

Or are you suggesting that you don't find Bill Clinton to be morally bankrupt? That you lost the argument and were convinced that he is not? Otherwise, you're in an undeniably hypocritical position.

Newt Gingrich is a political power broker who has been using his former position as Speaker of the House to get paid as a lobbyist while not registering as a lobbyist. He is representative of the very problem that needs most to be addressed in our government, which is the influence of money on the outcome of the electoral and legislative processes. He has shown to have no moral character based on the way he treated both of his two ex-wives, as well as showing a lack of ethical integrity with regard to his sanctioning by the House Ethics Committee.

He is absolutely not what we need to turn this country around.

No you are, I acknowledged long ago you don't support Clinton. So what, the Democrat party does, the MSM media does. He to this day is treated with honor and respect and even on the list for a SCOTUS appointment which the Democrast and leftist would fully support. He was allowed to remain in office in spite of the exponentially more egregious behavior he engaged in. Gingrich deserves no less.

Yet he was elected and reelected and allowed to remain in office and could win elections again possibly.

ROFL that's what the whole issue is about.

I'm saying I lost that argument back in 96.

His behavior then was absolutely morally bankrupt, at least with Gingrich it was his marriage that had fallen apart and he found someone who gave him the support he needed and he married them. At least he didn't sexually assault women or use his power to grant them favors in return for them giving him sex.

Newt Gingrich along with John Kasich reformed welfare, cut taxes to increase revenues, restrainged spending and balanced the budget and got the economy booming.

That is EXACTLY what we need now. As far as I know and can tell and as far as you know and can tell he has reformed his behaviors, is now a practicing Catholic and we know of no current scandals. He should at least get the same respect as Clinton gets.

When the MSM starts to hoot and holler because Clinton will be a speaker at the Convention or that the Democrats still point to him as their hero or the MSM still remains obtuse about his life let me know.
